On April 15, 2019 the TechLAB company reported that complex check of work of service of clinical recommendations for oncologists on the Galenos platform on four nozologiya is complete: to stomach cancer, cancer of an obodochny gut, breast cancer and melanoma of skin. Doctors of NMITs of oncology of N.N. Petrov confirmed correctness of the schemes of treatment offered by a system. IT solution is supposed to be implemented in regional oncological medical institutions of the third level.

According to the company, for April, 2019 TechLAB conducts development of service for oncologists on the Galenos platform by request of NMITs of oncology of N.N. Petrov. This software product which specialists call support system of adoption of medical solutions is held for use in routine clinical practice of oncologists. It helps to select tactics of treatment of the patient on the basis of his anamnesis which is already received by it treatment and the clinical recommendations of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

The doctor enters all data on the patient into the program and the algorithm of service automatically creates the recommendations to destination of therapy – doctors have an opportunity to be verified with them when forming the program of treatment.

The service of clinical recommendations Galenos also provides succession of treatment as IT solution fixes all diagnostic and treatment which the patient received throughout treatment even if he passed it in different medical institutions.

Its filling by data on four nozologiya became the first stage of setup of the Galenos platform for the help to oncologists: stomach cancer, cancer of an obodochny gut, breast cancer, skin melanoma.

Then the project team consisting of Galenos developers and oncologists of the Center of oncology of N.N. Petrov complemented the database with the standards of treatment of these diseases developed by Association of oncologists of Russia and adopted by the Russian Ministry of Health as national clinical recommendations.

For April, 2019 the software product passed test (validation) for completeness of data and correctness of the schemes of treatment offered them on four nozologiya: to stomach cancer, cancer of an obodochny gut, a breast cancer, a skin melanoma in NMITs of oncology of N.N. Petrov whose specialists confirmed efficiency of his use.

On the next stage validation of Galenos on other nozologiya – lungs lung cancer, a prostate cancer, sarcomas of soft fabrics will be carried out, the mechanism of integration of service with the medical information systems (MIS) is added.

It is very important for us that treatment algorithms which a system recommends to doctors completely corresponded to national clinical recommendations. The efficiency of treatment depends on it. One of the most important stages of the project – testing of Galenos on four nozologiya is complete. It will allow us to start scaling of IT solution, including transition from trial operation of Galenos to its regular application. Doctors regularly check correctness of schemes of treatment which are offered by service of recommendations on the Galenos platform. We control whether treatment algorithms correctly work, whether everything necessary data are loaded into a system. The first stage of validation of our solution which passed in the Center of oncology of N.N. Petrov showed that we are on the right track and we can develop IT solution further. In the nearest future we plan validation of other nosological groups of malignant new growths and also the publication API for solution integration in the medical systems. Galenos will help medical institutions to perform requirements of FZ-489 about clinical recommendations which provides the organization of medical care on the basis of clinical recommendations and taking into account medical standards. It is planned that service of clinical recommendations for oncologists on the Galenos platform will be proposed to implement in regional oncological medical institutions of the third level.

For April, 2019 the TechLAB company develops for NMITs of oncology of N.N. Petrov five automated information systems on the Galenos platform. Except service of clinical recommendations, it IT solutions: Monitoring of regional oncological services, Monitoring of patients, Oncological statistics, Reference book MKB-O3. All of them are created for methodological support of regional oncological services.

2018: Approbation of the Russian support system of adoption of medical solutions of Galenos

The Russian support system of adoption of medical solutions of Galenos undergoes approbation in Institute of oncology of N.N. Petrov. The staff of institute performs expert evaluation of applicability of the solution for systematization of process of treatment and quality improvement of delivery of health care in the medical organizations regarding oncology. For the project the most common form – a breast cancer is selected. Successful implementation of this project will allow developers to expand application of the Galenos system for one nosology.

One of key functions of a system is the possibility of routing of patients. The Galenos system consolidates retrospective data, creating individual cases of patients of several medical organizations. It is especially relevant for those cases where patients can move from district onkokabinet to medical institutions of regional and federal levels, note in TechLAB company.

The reason of the choice of a breast cancer, according to project participants, was the fact that this the oncological disease, most widespread in Russia, at women: According to the Moscow scientific research institute of oncology of P.A. Herzen, 21% of all cases fall to the share of breast cancer, and 16.3% of all women die of this disease. In the world a situation similar: 25.2% of all cancer patients suffer from a breast cancer, and among women there is an illness rate this type of cancer the highest – 43.3 on 100,000, counted in the International Agency for Research on Cancer. In plans of participants to expand the project on five oncological nozologiya.

The director of Federal State Budgetary Institution NMITs onkologii im. N. N. Petrova of the Russian Ministry of Health, professor Alexey Belyaev agrees that "modern information technologies allow to provide the oncologist with new effective tools. Support system of adoption of medical solutions – one of such technologies which is actively applied in world practice. Use of the similar systems at a stage of diagnosis of diseases of malignant new growths could accelerate setting of the correct diagnosis, reduce terms of the direction of patients from regional institutions by treatment in institute, systematize collection of data on the patient that in general promotes quality improvement of medical care".

Earlier Galenos passed test in medical institutions of St. Petersburg and Arkhangelsk. Took part in a pilot project federal state unitary enterprise Scientific Research Institute Gematologii and Transfusiology of FMBA of MZ, SPPGMU of Pavlov (31 City clinic), SPBGBUZ City hospital No. 15, SPBGBUZ City clinical hospital No. 31. The Galenos system successfully solved a problem of quality improvement of information of city register 7VZN and automation of formation of requests for preferential provision of medicines.

Use of the intelligent medical systems, including systems of the help of adoption of medical solutions promotes reduction of influence of a human factor by process of setting of diagnoses and the choice of the most effective method of treatment of a disease. Implementation of technologies of medicine of the future minimizes the probability of medical errors which occasionally too expensive cost patients.

Interest in development of similar medical innovations was declared by the Government of the Russian Federation. In November, 2017 the order of the Russian Ministry of Health created the working group on a question of implementation of information systems of support of adoption of medical solutions where were included as well specialists of TechLAB LLC, and in December, 2017 it became known that the Russian Ministry of Health intends to expand the federal project "Electronic Health Care" due to development of the system of support of adoption of medical solutions using elements of artificial intelligence. It at a meeting of presidium of Council under the President of the Russian Federation for strategic development and priority projects was said on December 13 by the prime minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev.
