MagiCITY the Cloud platform for infrastructure management of "The smart city"

At the beginning of 2018 2Test, the official supplier and integrator of industrial communication solutions ORing, announced a cloud platform of MagiCITY for infrastructure management of "The smart city".

Development of industrial Internet of Things (Industrial Internet of Things — IIoT), machine learning and predictive analytics of data from a set of the "smart" devices connected among themselves, enters significant transformations to many industries. The Smart City project implemented for the purpose of effective management of the urban environment, economy of expenditure of budgets, increase in public order and quality of life of citizens acts as one of the most perspective scopes of the integrated IIoT-systems.

"The smart cities" promise inhabitants huge advantages in improvement of comfort and security, but only if all these sensors, counters and other terminal units are correctly integrated and connected. Creation and management of "The smart city" involves as much new tasks how many and solutions.

In view of the matters for simple and convenient management of all systems of "The smart city" 2TEST submitted the platform of industrial Internet of Things MagiCITY constructed based on ORing PaaS-management system — producer of the industrial communication equipment, the IIoT-built-in solutions, gateways and nodes.

The MagiCITY platform will increase effective management of the projects "Smart City", will accelerate their deployment and receiving return of the enclosed investments for the customer. With support of the Modbus-RTU and ModBus-TCP protocols users of the platform can easily be connected to all sensors, cameras, detectors, counters and other devices, to trace and manage their work in the uniform PaaS web interface (the platform as service, with payment only for use).

MagiCITY can support up to one billion devices, providing reliable and safe data exchange between all applications of "The smart city" in real time. MagiCITY provides REST API, allowing users it is convenient to monitor connection and operability of attached devices and also to obtain the necessary data at any time, even when IIoT-devices are switched-off.

MagiCITY provides management of the intelligent city systems, for example, with street illumination, parkings, public transport, traffic lights, environment sensors, GPS trackers, metering devices of energy resources, etc. — from a stage of inspection and design before deployment and service.

Using the configured monitoring panel users can control important events, browse reports, create task lists and also plan the schedule of changes, service and repair work. The platform allows to set threshold values for separate or whole groups of sensors and "safe areas" for trackers — specialists will be able to receive online notifications irrespective of location. The MagiCITY platform also includes functionality of role access isolation on areas of responsibility of project participants.

In addition, MagiCITY is open for improvement and completions of functionality for increase in convenience of using of the solution in each project of "The smart city".
