Saratovstroysteklo creates information models of production premises using the Renga BIM system

On February 16, 2018 the company "Saratovstroysteklo" announced implementation BIM- systems Renga for creation of an information model of production premises.

Prerequisites of the Project

For achievement of high positions in the glass industry it is necessary to have not only highly qualified specialists and huge production capacities, but also to constantly improve technology processes, to upgrade the equipment and to apply new technologies.

For implementation of running repair or small improvement of the equipment it is possible to manage only production of new parts and mechanisms. But when it is about change of the production technology, implementation of the new equipment, before the enterprise there are more major problems. It is necessary to upgrade a production line, to execute re-planning, to strengthen existing or to design new load-carrying structures, to plan the bases under the equipment, etc.

Both for repairs, and for implementation of new production lines engineering documentation – design, technology and project is necessary. Many years specialists of JSC Saratovstroysteklo create design documentation in the KOMPAS-3D software product, and for tasks of retrofitting of workshops use also its application "the Equipment: Metalwork". JSC Saratovstroysteklo develops documentation using three-dimensional models. Creation of a 3D model of the operating workshops allows to minimize costs on making changes as a result of retrofitting and also helps to gain a detailed evident view, both about all workshop entirely, and on each equipment in real time. But implementation of such big 3D models of production lines required existence of powerful, high-performance workstations as normal desktop computers lacked performance for work with 3D models.

Project Results

Specialists of the enterprise paid attention to the system of information modeling (BIM system) of Renga from Renga Software company. Renga allowed to create easily and quickly big 3D models of workshops, to load the equipment from the KOMPAS-3D software product and to place it in an information model taking into account the existing design. Specialists of the enterprise could receive not only a 3D model, but also information on model that is especially valuable to production. At the same time a system works on the available personal computers, without requiring acquisition of the hardware. Renga was also a simple system in mastering. Designers of JSC Saratovstroysteklo studied it independently.

Thus, in JSC Saratovstroysteklo the model of production premises is created using technology of information modeling. Using the domestic Renga BIM system the information model about 10-15% of production areas of the enterprise is already created.

In tasks of the plant not only reproduction of the existing production lines, but also design new as Renga allows both to create a 3D model of the building or a construction and to receive the project and work documentation of the AS/AR/KZH/KZHI/KM brands. And such systems capabilities as automatic reinforcing or independence of fullness of reference books of a range of metal rolling will allow to accelerate process of obtaining drawings, having reduced to zero the probability of commission of errors.

Taking visualization of the created 3D model of workshops in attention, the enterprise is going to use it in training of the young specialists employed in the company.
