Compass-3D v19
On July 9, 2020, ASCON presented an updated version of the KOMPAS-3D design system. The release v19 included machine-building, instrument-making and construction configurations. "Flexible" interface

On February 26, 2019, ASCON announced the release of SP1 updates to v18, making the KOMPAS-3D even faster, more reliable and more functional.

- The graphics area can be enlarged by automatically hiding the sidebars (Options, Document Tree, etc.). In this case, when a command is called, the Options panel appears automatically and remains on the screen until the command is completed.
- KOMPAS-3D learned to project the "contours" of curved faces into a sketch. This allows you to snap geometry in Sketch to the sketch lines of the desired surface. The Compass-3D V17 interface takes into account the conditions of many hours of work of engineers - for this, a margin of contrast is provided for working in different lighting so that vision does not strain. Also, the new version takes into account the specifics of modern widescreen monitors.
In the beta version of Compass-3D V17, the interface was implemented in a calm color scheme, which the company's employees informally called among themselves "50 shades of gray." In the final version of the product, 16 color scheme combinations in dark and light variations became available to users.
The new version provides support for multi-monitor work - you can work with an assembly and schedule, part and drawing at the same time. In addition, "Compass-3D V17" is able to "pick up" the license on the fly in case of loss of communication with the license server or accidental seizure of the physical key.
The developers claim that the performance of the system has significantly increased when working with rich drawings: only the visible area of the drawing is rebuilt, everything else remains behind the scenes.
