Electrolux announced the sale of Russian business

Electrolux says that the military operation in Ukraine and the sanctions imposed on Russia because of it "made the continuation of business in the country impossible," the report said.

The Russian market accounted for about 1.6% of Electrolux and 4% of European sales. The company stressed that the company transferred to management will continue to service all equipment sold earlier in Russia. Electrolux has no production sites in Russia.

As RBC wrote in June 2022, after the departure of foreign companies, sellers of household appliances and electronics faced a reduction in the range. In the network "Холодильник.ру" Electrolux was named among the manufacturers whose assortment has decreased significantly.

In addition to household appliances, Electrolux manufactures professional equipment for hotels, restaurants, cafes and laundries. It is sold under the brands Electrolux, Zanussi, AEG and McCulloch.

Electrolux announced the termination of activities in Russia on July 11, 2022. As the president and CEO of the company Alberto Zanata said then, Electrolux complies with all sanctions and export rules to Russia, but under the conditions of a military special operation it will no longer be able to sell goods in the Russian Federation.[1]
