Technoserv by 2.5 times expanded the ERA-GLONASS HLR GAIS system

2019: Expansion of the ERA-GLONASS HLR GAIS system

On October 25, 2019 the company "Technoserv" announced project implementation on expansion of the HLR GAIS system State (automated information system) "ERA-GLONASS".

HLR (Home Location Register is a home location register) is a subsystem as a part of network of mobile radio telephone communication of GAIS "ERA-GLONASS". HLR as the database stores information on the owner of the mobile number: about subscriber identifiers and its connected main and additional services, about data services of the subscriber and also about the permitted and prohibited roaming zones. The important HLR function is a control of process of movement of mobile subscribers and data transmission about it to the operator.

Capacity of the hardware and software system (HSS) HLR was expanded by 2.5 times: from 4 million profiles to 10 million. The full range of services, including delivery of the server hardware and a specialized software, mounting work and to configuring of a HSS of HLR and setup of its connectivity with the interacting network elements entered a task of Technoserv.

Works were performed on two platforms – in navigation information centers of the ERA-GLONASS System in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

For Technoserv upgrade of a HLR system of GAIS "ERA-GLONASS" became cooperation development: earlier we were engaged in implementation and the subsequent technical support of this platform extremely important for virtualization of functions of the telecom operator and the requiring reliability at the level of 99.999%, told about the project Yulia Krzheshovskaya, the director of the department of work with federal executive authorities of Technoserv company

2018: Technical support of ERA-GLONASS

On February 21, 2018 the Technoserv company announced the conclusion of the annual technical support contract of a monitoring system of a communication network of GAIS "ERA-GLONASS".

According to the contract signed with JSC GLONASS the Technoserv company renders services in technical support and maintenance of infrastructure of a monitoring system and the analysis of communication networks of SPYDER within ensuring functioning of GAIS "ERA-GLONASS". The complex of the works performed by integrator includes, in particular, technical support of POE of SPYDER, replacement of the faulty equipment, elimination of configuration errors and also program and machine failures, consultation of the customer concerning operation. Technical support services will be rendered during the whole 2018.

Based on JSC GLONASS the virtual cellular operator (Mobile Virtual Network Operator, MVNO) whose infrastructure is a part of the ERA-GLONASS system is created and serves both for traffic transmission of the emergency reaction, and for development and rendering commercial services. With respect thereto to communication quality of MVNO high requirements and in terms of ensuring speed of reaction of special services in situations, life-threatening and to human health, and in terms of importance of SLA for business customers are imposed.

In GAIS "ERA-GLONASS" the management system, the distributed monitoring of communication networks and the analysis of traffic of SPYDER is responsible for quality control of a voice communication. Infrastructure of the solution is present at all large communication network nodes of the virtual operator and monitors exchange of signaling messages of a communication equipment on IP technology. A program part of the solution creates both statistic reports, and signing up on each call and a conversation in networks that allows to trace flexibly key indicators of work of all communication network of the customer and to make fast diagnostics of both mass, and single problems in communication system operation.

"For GAIS "ERA-GLONASS" emergence of problems with availability of communication services is critical. Therefore a project objective on technical support of a monitoring system of a communication network of the virtual operator of GAIS "ERA-GLONASS" is maintenance of the round-the-clock operability of the solution, ensuring continuity of quality control of communication".
