On February 21, 2018 it became known of installation of the modular videowall in the central office of Sberbank in St. Petersburg. As the customer in this project the administration of the St. Petersburg bank branch acted. The project was implemented by LANIT Northwest company, with assistance of DIGIS Group.
The task was set for the contractor: create multimedia installation for the updated hall of the central office of Northwest branch of Sberbank and also turn located floors above the premises in space for joint work. In addition, the wish to give to the main hall bright and attractive visual accent due to installation of the modular videowall was stated.
Installation Walk of Fame in Sberbank — the first that is seen by visitors of the updated office. Before reconstruction on a wall of the hall several LCD monitors with the diagonal of 20 inches were installed. On them photos of the best employees of month were shown so that pictures developed in a bank logo. The modules Christie MicroTiles installed at different distance from a bearing wall became a basis of installation. For those who cost exactly opposite to a wall it looks as the big flat screen. The same who looks at it at an angle it becomes noticeable that it is the volume structure consisting of several separate modules. This feature distinguishes installation from normal information systems with flat screens.
| "Fastenings for arrangement of modules did to order according to our drawings. Construction features of MicroTiles (in particular, frontal access for maintenance) allow to install modules very close to a bearing wall — certainly, having provided necessary distance for ventilation. Low heat release of MicroTiles allows to do without the additional cooling systems necessary for the majority of large-format displays, and thus to reduce costs for the electric power". Nikolay Barabanshchikov, head Multimedia systems of LANIT Northwest company |
For display of content four mediaplayers and four external control blocks of MicroTiles ECU are used. The modules MicroTiles differ in long service life, brightness and high resolution. Because of a non-standard aspect ratio (maximum height of the videowall — 5 modules, the maximum width — 10) and the high density of pixels, actual permission is 4650×1740 here, i.e. it is more, than 4K. Thanks to this circumstance, the image remains accurate even if to approach the videowall closely.
Visitors of branch are met by the huge videowall from 43 modules Christie MicroTiles installed in the main hall of bank. The digital cloth allows to show the most different content, whether it be views of St. Petersburg, the photo and video from corporate actions or special offers and information rollers for clients of bank.[1]
