Step Logic constructed the system of video analytics in InCity retail network

The Step Logic company in March, 2018 announced project implementation on creation of a system of audio-video monitoring for network of retail stores of clothes Fashion Continent.

Prerequisites

Due to the dynamic development of network including regional, the InCity company needed the solution which will allow to provide simple and convenient access to the management and area managers for control over the main business processes happening in outlets namely:

• Control of the layout of goods;
• Control of communication of personnel with buyers;
• Control of service premises, including at goods acceptance;
• Control of security in shop:
  • online control of trading floors security service (SS),
  • observance of obligations of SB in trading floors,
  • solution of conflict situations;

• Control of the general situation in shop:
  • purity,
  • existence of a mood music,
  • accomplishment of regulations by employees and service staff.

Software platform

Software platform of the solution is "The system of situational monitoring HeadPoint" which provides:

• Complexity — ensuring interaction of different sources of photo and video images, information systems and security systems, their integration into unified management information environment;
• Geodistribution and centrality — use of uniform mechanisms of management of the list of objects of monitoring, means of video surveillance, users and their access to functions of a system;
• Efficiency — capability to process the arriving information and to bring it to the user in "real" time in a type which will allow to react to the current situation quickly;
• Modularity and functional adaptivity — separation of a system into the modules which are responsible for accomplishment of separate tasks with a possibility of accumulation of functionality without making changes in architecture and logic of functioning of a system;
• Scalability and replicability — increase in number of users, means of video surveillance and volumes of information flows without making changes in architecture and logic of functioning of a system due to adding of hardware resources.

Besides, a system provides formation audio-and videoarchives on requests of users for the subsequent analysis and long-term storage on the selected file resources.

Equipment

In the solution more than 400 PoE-video cameras of production of Hikvision company equipped with microphones which provide high-quality audio-and video monitoring are integrated. The Hikvision video recorders located in shops provide long-term storage audio-and videoarchives.

This project is important for us strategically as we for the first time implemented the solution, joint with Hikvision company, on implementation of video analytics in retail. We are sure that the demand of the solution will allow to replicate it and in other large-scale retail chain stores — Dmitry Yakushev, the commercial director of Step Logic company noted.
