PIK Group completed transition to the Google platform

PIK Group completed transition to the G Suite platform at the beginning of 2018 and began transfer of the infrastructure in Google Cloud Platform. The cloud service accelerated communications in the company: facilitated communication of offices of PIK Group in 9 regions of the country and opened quick access to information for thousands of employees.

Transition of the company to cloud solutions allowed to create a uniform information access which is opened for employees at any time, in any place and from any device. Raised mobility and employees: everyone is available in messenger Google Hangouts where he can not only write, create groups for discussion, but also call, without having access to the business phone, to turn a group conversation into voice or in video conference with participation to 50 people, having refused trips between offices for the sake of one meeting.

Cloud solutions allowed the company to reduce traditional stages of work on projects. Thanks to Google Docs it is possible to make as fast as possible necessary changes in documents and right there to approve them, at the same time participants have an opportunity to organize a mini-chat in a line of the text or a cell of the table. All documents can be connected with each other and to send to customers or contractors to one click. The cloud service allows to store unlimited amount of data and also to develop own solutions. PIK Group has cloud reference books with data on material cost and works and the cloud calculator of estimates which connects these data and calculates what materials and in what quantity are necessary for certain works on 1 sq.m and also it issues the total cost of purchase and cost of the contract for execution of works.

One more argument for benefit of a cloud service — automation of the reporting. Instead of a huge number of documents and tables there is one general file which all participants fill with data. This file is connected to Tableau reporting system therefore right after introduction new or changes of the existing data are updated all reports which are based on this information.

PIK Group already has production process improvement cases. For example, IT specialists of the company in 2 hours managed to automate process of management of start of projects. It looks so: as soon as the employee of Department of a product finished work on the concept and noted it in the table, the task to the designer on detailed study automatically arrives. After study the designer enters the main characteristics of future house to the table, and a system generates tasks different responsible in department of pre-sale preparation.

In the nearest future PIK Group is going to transfer all the information systems to Google Cloud Platform.
