Air China

Air China Limited (Air China) is national Chinese airline and service provider of passenger, freight air transportation and also coproducts and services. The head office of carrier is located in Beijing where there is the main internal and international air harbor of China. The airline provides aviation services, including repair of airplanes and services of land service in Beijing, Chengdu and other points. Since August 18, 2006 stocks of airline are quoted on the Shanghai stock exchange under code 601111.

The network of passenger traffic includes 420 routes, including 101 international, 16 regional and 303 internal. The network of routes of the Company covers 185 cities in 40 countries and regions of the world, including 66 international centers, three regional and 116 internal destination points. Air China since December 15, 2004 is registered on Hong Kong and the London Stock Exchange under codes 00753 and AIRC respectively.

2017

• In 2017 the total turnover of Group made 124.026 billion yuans of the People's Republic of China that is 7.71% higher in comparison with the same period of last year. Income from air transport grew by 7.53% year on year, having reached 115.380 billion yuans of the People's Republic of China. Income from passenger traffic increased by 6.19%, and from freight transportation - for 23.48%. Operating income from other types of activity was 8.646 billion yuans of the People's Republic of China that is 10.19% higher in comparison with a preceding period.
• Operating expenses increased by 15.02% - to 112.270 billion yuans of the People's Republic of China. Growth of expenses on aviation fuel year on year was 6.427 billion yuans of the People's Republic of China or for 29.24% in comparison with the same period of the previous year. For reporting period the Group got an exchange profit in the amount of 2.938 billion yuans of the People's Republic of China.
• Profit before taxes increased by 12.47% year on year, having reached 11.486 billion yuans of the People's Republic of China.
• In 2017 the profit before taxes was 11.486 billion yuans of the People's Republic of China that is 12.47% more, than in the 2016th. Net profit reached 8.641 billion yuans of the People's Republic of China or is 11.38% more year on year. The net profit carried into the shareholder account of the companies registered on the stock exchange was 7.244 billion yuans of the People's Republic of China that is 6.39% more in comparison with previous year. On the basis of the dispersion plan of profit accepted by the Company for 2017, the Board recommends to send 10% of a post-tax profit to an obligatory reserve fund, and another 10% - to a voluntary reserve fund with the subsequent payment of cash dividends for last year in the amount of 1.1497 yuans of the People's Republic of China (taking into account taxes) on each ten actions. The corresponding plan of payment of cash dividends will be submitted Annual general meeting of shareholders of the Company at the end of 2017.
• For the reporting Period the capacity of the Company calculated in the available ton-kilometers (ATK) made 35.673 billion that is 5.61% more in comparison with previous year. The traffic measured in the profitable ton kilometers (PTK) made 25.385 billion or is 7.12% more year on year.
• For the reporting Period the Group provided transportation of 102 million passengers that is 5.15% more in comparison with 2016. The passenger turnover measured by the available passazhiro-kilometric area (APKA) increased by 6.26% - up to 247.815 billion. Capacity of internal and international routes increased by 5.88% and 7.80% respectively, and capacity of regional routes, on the contrary, decreased by 1.99%. The general passenger traffic measured by the profitable passazhiro-kilometric area (PPKA) increased by 6.87% - up to 210.078 billion. Traffic on internal, international and regional routes increased by 6.16%, 8.55% and 2.79% year on year respectively. The coefficient of employment of passenger chairs grew by 0.46 percent points - up to 81.14%. In 2017 the Group provided 56 new aircrafts and took out of service of 11 airplanes. The general size of the fleet was 655 airplanes with middle age in 6.53 years.
• As of December 31, 2017, the fleet of Group has 655 aircrafts with middle age in 6.53 years, and the Company locates the fleet from 396 airplanes with middle age 6.57 years.
