2018: Replication of "1C: ERP Enterprise Management 2" at three plants

As of March, 2018 replication of a system on the Bryansky arsenal Ltd plants, Chelyabinskiye stroitelno-dorozhnye mashiny Ltd, Zavolzhye Plant of Caterpillar Tractors Ltd is performed, queue No. 3 of the project is implemented.

2017

Implementation of Simatic IT Preactor

From April to December, 2017 the company the Raytek company executed the project on system implementation of "Simatic IT Preactor" in "RM-Tereks".

Project Objective

Project objective in the ERP system was:

  • raise quality of service;
  • increase the processing speed of orders;
  • increase controllability a WIP remaining balance;
  • reduce a remaining balance of Inventories in warehouses;
  • increase decision making speed at change of external factors.

Project objective in Preactor APS was:

  • Optimization of operational planning on terms, priorities, the park of the equipment.
  • Fast recalculation of the plan in case of deviations.
  • Accounting of terms of shipment and planning to the set terms.
  • Accounting of different options on readjustments of the equipment.
  • Visualization of production flows and interactive change of the plan.
  • Formation of planned daily tasks.

Project Tasks

According to the company, in a type of the increasing market share and also a variety of requirements of Customers, RM-Tereks faced a problem of determination of terms of finished product output. Combination of small-lot production with job order production under requirements of the specific customer gives as some benefits regarding optimization of batches of start, early start of some backlogs of parts and difficulties about accomplishment of specific orders with unique requirements of the Customer taking into account already available WIP.

The scheme of production planning is based on sales plans which often are specified/change. In a type of it at failure from the order some of Customers or modification change the question of effects of such change is always particularly acute. It is necessary to estimate implementation phase of the order at the shortest possible time, the issued supplier orders and taking into account the current loading of production to make the decision.

In such situation it was not represented possible to build the production schedule for a month to within a part, on it, within a month there was no idea of that how many still parts it is necessary to execute for successful shipment according to all customer orders.

It is necessary to consider that product rather difficult and the number of unique DSE in finished goods reaches 12 thousand, and processing transactions 10 times more. Build the step-by-step production schedule for a month extremely difficult and not reasonablly. In the course of process modeling of planning the decision on enlargement of unit of planning was made.

Project Results

For December, 2017 the following indicators became project deliverables:

  • reduction of a WIP and warehouse stocks — up to 10%;
  • reduction of a production cycle — up to 5%;
  • increase planning accuracy — up to 25%;
  • increase in processing speed of orders — up to 25%.

In Preactor the possibility of creation of the production schedule for all month to within an uchastkozakhod is implemented. It on the one hand allows to see loading on processing sections, and on the other hand – to estimate security of production for the month ahead at change of production schedules.

Important feature is that process of start of the Preactor system was not the separate project, and was a part of implementation of the ERP system closing problems of production planning. Besides considerable efforts on review of regulations of an order of data preparation of production and also reflection of the actual results of production were required.

The reports which are specially developed for the Customer allow to assess the current situation on deficits, to make the decision on start of additional DSE in production or an exception of production of the superfluous, any more not demanded DSE, for decrease in a WIP.

Works on transition to "1C: ERP Enterprise Management 2"

In 2017 the RM-Tereks company implemented the project on system implementation "1C: ERP Enterprise Management 2".

In January, 2017 works on the transition to "1C: ERP Enterprise Management 2" according to the plan approved according to the results of inspection began:

  • queue No. 1: automation of trading house RM-Tereks LLC;
  • queue No. 2: process automation of an operational circuit and planning on Tver Excavator Plant Ltd with the subsequent replication on the Bryansky arsenal Ltd plants, Chelyabinskiye stroitelno-dorozhnye mashiny Ltd, Zavolzhye Plant of Caterpillar Tractors Ltd;
  • queue No. 3: process automation of cost accounting, regulated accounting and payroll, final transition from systems based on "1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management".

In December, 2017 "1C: ERP Enterprise Management 2" it is put by Raytek company into commercial operation on the main production site – Tver Excavator Plant Ltd.

Project Results

The RM-Tereks company noted the main characteristics of the project:

  • complex structure of the made products (more than 8000 DSE and component parts);
  • planned activity of 4 (four) enterprises of holding in uniform to the database "1C:ERP Enterprise management 2";
  • volume scheduling (the 3-month sliding planning, separate planning assembly, Mehano - welding and procurement production);
  • operational production management (6 workshops of the main production, accounting of cutting charts, planned daily tasks);
  • integration "1C: ERP Enterprise Management 2" with an external PDM system;
  • integration "1C: ERP Enterprise Management 2" with an external APS system for the purposes of operational planning of production.

As a result of implementation "1C: ERP Enterprise Management 2", thanks to operational reliable information about work of all services, raised quality and speed of acceptance of management decisions. As a result, volumes of material stocks were reduced, output is increased, the processing speed of orders increased, process of volume and calendar and operational planning of production is automated.

2016: Start of an implementation project of the 1C: ERP Enterprise Management 2 system

In the summer of 2016 the management of RM-Tereks LLC made the decision on need of transition of 4 (four) manufacturing enterprises and trading house on the general corporate information an accounting system and planning. The company selected the solution "1C: ERP Enterprise Management 2".

Prerequisites of the Project

Before transition to the 1C:ERP system manufacturing enterprises of holding worked in the separate systems based on solutions of 1C Company (management of manufacturing plants, UT, BP, ZUP) and also the systems of own development based on FoxPro, DOS, Oracle.

The following problems were premises to project implementation:

  • low controllability WIP remaining balance;
  • labor-intensive process of operational replanning;
  • the overestimated remaining balance of Inventories in warehouses;
  • problems with production scheduling;
  • outdated IT architecture.

Project Progress

The contractor selected the company "Raytek", specializing in automation of manufacturing enterprises. In the winter of 2016 the Raytek company carried out express inspection based on which the report was developed and the detailed technical commercial offer on an implementation project is provided for consideration "1C:ERP Enterprise management 2".
