PLM component to T-Flex

2018: Development

The company Appius developed the module "PLM-a component to T-Flex", providing communication CAD- systems T-Flex with a product lifecycle management system Appius-PLM. This component gives an opportunity of storage of the design information appearing in design process within a common information space for its use at all further stages of lifecycle.

Exploitation of Appius-PLM together with T-Flex, as well as with many other CAD systems, provides:

• preserving in the single database of design documentation, loading in base of all files of 3D models and drawings with simultaneous formation of the code of integrity;
• automatic creation ESP (electronic structure of a product) on the basis of a product 3D model taking into account all executions and also check on uniqueness on the main attributes of model (designation, the name, a group of parameters, etc.);
• viewing and editing 3D models opened in a CAD system directly from the database;
• the organization of collective work of design group within the uniform project of development;
• observance of all rules on making changes in the archive / approved design documents with tracking of a status of elements and documents ESIs in a system;
• viewing the picture of secondary representation of 3D models without use of CAD;
• organization of blocking of a possibility of simultaneous change of some files by different users;
• implementation of import and work with libraries of the standard products CAD.

The centralized data warehouse within Appius-PLM and also the installed integration module within CAD for each local workplace of the designer provides a possibility of collective work with design data in the conditions of the created unified information environment. At the same time a CAD system, and responsibility for storage, access to viewing and making changes remains the main working tool of the designer, Appius-PLM is completely delegated.

In terms of the integration module, treat the main features of T-Flex:

• opportunity for work with parametrical models and creation on the basis of parameters of configurations of the ESI elements;
• use of the uniform file format for information storage about 3D models of assembly unit, a part and the drawing. Its identification within CAD or sign of existence in structure of the enclosed 3D fragments is sign of creation of this or that element in ESI.

Thanks to the provided PLM component of the enterprise, using as 3D - CAD T-Flex design, have an opportunity to manage fully product lifecycle within Appius-PLM at seamless use with systems, widespread in Russia, on resource management of the enterprise, the class ERP developed on 1C: Enterprise platform.
