2018: Start of SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud

SAP started a cloud service which will help the companies to optimize performance, to increase quality of production and to ensure to the employees safe functioning. The solution under the name SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud was announced at the industrial Hannover Messe 2018 conference (on April 23-27, Hanover, Germany) devoted to questions of implementation of digital technologies in economy and production processes.

The provided cloud constructed on developments of SAP in the field of industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), predictive analytics and a supply system is intended for centralized operation by production and optimization of workflows and allows producers to unroll Industry 4.0 technologies in cloud infrastructure.

SAP started a production cloud

The SAP solution Digital Manufacturing Cloud for Execution connects business systems with production thanks to what the complete overview of work at the component level and materials within a single global system is provided. The SAP component of Digital Manufacturing Cloud for Insights is created for performance management on the basis of the data used in the company.

The cloud platform of SAP allows producers to apply the intellectual algorithms reducing losses from defects, shortcomings and changes in work of systems and also recommends them corrective actions.

One more part of SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud is the factory area network providing a cloud platform for joint work which is integrated with SAP solutions of Ariba and connects clients with suppliers of materials and different services, the equipment manufacturers who are engaged in technical certification by the companies and other contractors.

On Hannover Messe 2018 the SAP company also presented for producers the SAP solution Connected Worker Safety allowing to reduce risks and costs and also to secure the personnel working at a factory.^[1]
