In Kaliningrad for the first time carried out implantation of new defibrillators of Medtronic

For the first time in Kaliningrad in Federal center of high medical technologies Ministry of Health Russia April 28, 2018 devices for the warm resynchronizing therapy of the next generation Viva Quad XT CRTD from the company are implanted to patients with heart failure Medtronic.

According to representatives of Medtronic, this type of devices is one of the most difficult and intellectual of all used implanted cardiological devices. He allows to achieve synchronous reduction of all cameras of heart that significantly improves quality and increases life expectancy of patients with chronic heart failure. Such devices also make the emergency diagnosis of arrhythmias, including zhizneugrozhayushchy, and for several seconds make their knocking over — either drawing special frequent impulses, or shock discharge.

According to researches, the Viva Quad XT CRTD device, unlike devices of the previous generation, quicker and more precisely reacts to the arising arrhythmias, reduces risk of death or hospitalization because of a warm nedostatochnost, and reduces risk of emergence of fibrillation of auricles by 47% — terrible violation of the rhythm which is one of the frequent reasons of a stroke specified in Medtronic.

The devices Viva Quad XT CRT are equipped with function of remote monitoring that is relevant in the light of the development of telemedicine technologies which is actively supported in Russia including at the legislative level, noted in the company.

The Kaliningrad center became the second in Russia where implantation of a defibrillator of Viva Quad XT CRTD is carried out. The Russia's first it was executed in February, 2018 by specialists of scientific research institute of cardiology of the Tomsk NIMTs.
