Nestle will create reserve DPC in Russia

The contractor of the project selects IXcellerate company – operator of the commercial, certified data center from Russia.

The decision on creation of the reserve platform was made by the management 'Nestlé Russia' for the purpose of reliability augmentation and fault tolerance of the IT systems. Requirements to these parameters significantly grew in connection with steady growth of the company, start of new complexes and the plants and also plans for further expansion of business in the Russian Federation.

Contrary to a global tendency to build own reserve DPCs, the management of corporation selected other scenario from Russia – to tell the solution of this task to outsourcing. Calculations showed that placement of the equipment in commercial DPC, first, is more reliable (as risks of maintenance of own IT platform and possible losses at failure are significantly higher), and secondly, it is more profitable (as in the medium term financial load of the maintenance of own DPC is higher, than in model with outsourcing). The agreement provides a possibility of shutdown or an output to service of any system, a node or a component of infrastructure with preserving of complete functionality of an object.

The reserve platform for "Russia" will be built by Nestlé with complete mirroring of all corporate data. Within the IXcellerate project provides to the customer:

• the selected racks and the stoykomest under placement of a complex with a computing cluster and a storage system of HPE 3par
• five boundaries of control of perimeter, including barrier of racks, the ACS and biometric verification of the personality
• a supply of telecommunication cables (cross patching) on two independent not crossed ways from two spaced telecommunication zones (MMR)
• connection of power supply to the equipment on two not crossed lines from two independent and distributed panel board
• unsurpassed level of a konnektivnost (42 operators who are present at the platform)
• SLA exceeding requirements of Tier 3 with an indicator of 99.982%
• the round-the-clock technical support in Russian and English

Representatives "Nestlé Russia" estimated reliability of the platform and total absence of idle times from the moment of commissioning, existence of the certificate of PCI DSS v3.2, an automated system of zone fire extinguishing of HI-FOG, safe for the person, and other components of infrastructure of DPC. An argument became financial stability of service provider - a profitable business model, transparent pattern of ownership, presence of the international investors. Special attention was paid to customer service and experience with the international clients, including in the field of FMCG.
