We in 65apps are sure that automation of mobile jobs has high potential. According to assessment[1], the world market of corporate mobile applications by 2020 will exceed a mark of $140 billion, at the same time 42% of the organizations are going to increase expenses on application development. Meanwhile requirements considerably exceed internal opportunities of the companies even if in the state there are developers. Therefore as of 2018 integration projects with individual development allow to reach the maximum effect and to qualitatively improve business processes in the retail companies. Especially for TAdviser we will tell about one of our most successful cases in this area.

Situation

Dynamic business of the organization requires instant response to change of conditions and accounting of thousands of parameters, including existence and availability of different types of goods. For process management in the organization means of warehouse and logistic automation are used, however for achievement of maximum efficiency of Dolce vita there were not enough digital instruments for sales representatives. Therefore the organization made the decision to develop proprietary mobile application.

In implementation process of the project the customer and the specialized company on application development 65apps formulated the whole range of tasks which needed to be solved upon transition to the new mobile tool for sales representatives:

1. The company set the task to refuse completely use of paper plans, routes and other documents. Mobile application had to provide submission of all data, necessary for work, in a digital format and as online, and in a standalone mode if connection to the Internet temporarily is absent.

2. It was decided to implement simple and clear selection forms of goods with a uniform type of tables and a possibility of the order in one click.

3. The customer needed to reduce all indicators on work of department on the mobile terminal of the supervisor and also to allow it to make out independently requests and sales, without leaving the application.

Best Practice. Application requirements

In implementation process of the project specialists from 65apps suggested Dolce vita to answer the major questions to develop the application which is completely meeting expectations and requirements of the company:

1. Data. Define what information and in what situations needs to be provided to sales representatives and other employees.
2. Forms. Express requirements to information input, including filling of forms and voice actuation.
3. Communications. Select methods of communication with a back office and synchronization of data.
4. Devices. Outline a circle of devices which support will be necessary in the new application.
5. Security. Select measures of protection for devices and also provide actions in case of loss or theft of the tablet/smartphone of the employee.
6. Support. Methods and terms of release and delivery of updates.
7. Notifications. Define by what method the application will notify employees and what events should be in a priority.
8. Analytics. Outline a range of events for the analysis and a report form for heads.

Results

After study of the sounded tasks by specialists 65apps special mobile application which is used by sales representatives and supervisors of Dolce vita was developed — they representatives of the company got direct access to all information, necessary for work, including in a standalone mode relevant price lists, agreements and a sales history are available to them. Data entry was completely transferred to digital formats thanks to what order placement became possible directly when viewing the directory. The reporting as report generation began to be automatic was considerably simplified.

Forms and selection process of goods in the new application

Integration with a back office provided instant data transmission in the CRM system — the main tool for business of Dolce vita. Considering that some employees use tablets without permanent connection, synchronization is automatic when the device goes on-line or is connected to corporate network.

Implementation of corporate mobile application allowed Dolce vita company to build up the relationship with the employees at the new level. Employees had an opportunity earlier to finish work, to come later in the mornings and to be aware of the processes which are constantly happening in the company. Also work with mobile applications allows to improve partner interaction and clients. In questions of business logic and the organization of sales mobile application helped to improve business processes of the company.

Customer

The Dolce vita company works since 1992 and supplies food and other goods to the Russian market, providing their delivery in outlets. For the beginning of 2018 more than 32,000 organizations used services of Dolce vita, and in the company 3,200 employees worked. The range of goods exceeds 12,000 units, and the area of warehouse in different regions is more than 60,000 sq.m. The product delivery to outlets is performed by 450 road trains.
