Stanislav Iodkovsky, Haytek: Only those players of the market who will offer a full range of services will survive

Stanislav Iodkovsky, the First Deputy CEO of Haytek, in an interview of TAdviser told about results of a company performance in the field of system integration and perspectives of own IT developments.

Stanislav, how there passed 2017 for Haytek group? What important results managed to be achieved?

Stanislav Iodkovsky: For us 2017 was issued very productive. As well as in previous years, we showed significant growth. And it concerns both increase in technical expertize, and increase in financial performance. So, revenue for last year grew by 4 times, also the number of employees comparably increased.

We significantly expanded a product portfolio: for example, in a division of system integration the new direction of information security was started. Besides, opening of essentially new activities in structure of group became important achievement for us: this production of the telecommunication equipment presented at the market under the IVA Technologies brand and also development and development of an intelligent system of automatic face recognition of Videotek.

What projects are most indicative for the business of group connected with system integration?

Stanislav Iodkovsky: If to speak about the direction of system integration, then for last year we executed more than 30 projects of different scales and levels of complexity. Among the most significant I would like to select the project on creation of multimedia contact center for Tax committee at the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. For the company it is a sign stage – high examination of our technical specialists and the developed strong partnership allowed us to enter with Avaya on international market. We executed one more interesting project for Transtelecom company: upgraded the module of outgoing call-down of contact center that allowed to increase considerably efficiency of interaction of operators of CC with consumers. Also there is a wish to note the project for NPO Energomash – the leading world developer of rocket engines. We created the reliable computing infrastructure allowing to implement at the enterprise different high-tech solutions, for example, such as ERP system Galaktika and a PLM system for product lifecycle management.

Who your main customers? Whether the companies of group have some industry specifics?

Stanislav Iodkovsky: As for the direction of system integration, it is possible to speak about rather uniform distribution between the enterprises of a public sector, the companies with state participation and commercial structures. Haytek implemented a set of projects in the aviation sector, the industry and the financial sphere. Now actively we look towards retail and power. If to speak about the production direction, then here we stake on power and state sectors more likely.

What impact on your business did import substitution policy have? Whether development of own telecommunication equipment under the IVA Technologies brand is connected with this process?

Stanislav Iodkovsky: The idea to create own brand of telecommunication equipment and ADP equipment came to us with partners to foundation of system integrator. However we understood that for start of so large-scale project it was necessary to show certain results in the integration market. Having achieved achievements in this segment, we could invest the got profit in creation of vendor.

As for the import substitution policy pursued by the state, certainly, for us as for the Russian producer of the telecom equipment and software it creates favorable conditions for development and opens opportunities for growth. At the same time It should be noted that for a division of system integration the course towards import substitution creates some difficulties: it becomes more difficult to advance solutions of our foreign partners.

Tell for what companies the solutions IVA Technologies are intended and what tasks they are expected?

Stanislav Iodkovsky: Each product is unique on the functionality and has the target audience. For example, scopes of the platform for video conferences of IVA MCU are almost boundless. The solution allows to optimize business processes and to cut down communication expenses in the enterprises with a large number of geographically spaced offices, gives the chance to provide remote services, such as telemedicine and bank service. One more striking example of use of the platform – video contact centers popular today through applications.

The storage system of IVA "YAR" is intended for the enterprises with a wide IT landscape. We expect that it will be demanded by telecom operators, industrial enterprises, the organizations of the public and financial sector. Key advantage of this solution – the low cost of storage at the high density. Here we enter the market of the high competition and we see high potential for growth at the expense of the attractive price and uniqueness of a product.

What scopes of a system of face recognition of Videotek? For what it is necessary?

Stanislav Iodkovsky: First of all the system of face recognition is intended for security of citizens within the city and on transport – it allows to prevent any illegal acts, including crimes and terrorist attacks.

Also this new word in access control in the territory of strategically important objects. Integration of a system of face recognition with a control and management system for access, the so-called ACS, allows to refuse traditional access cards and significantly increases security of large enterprises.

Retail – one more sphere where sensing technologies of persons are demanded already today. For example, using the system of video analytics of the company of retail can fight against store thefts, create loyalty of VIP-clients. The analysis of behavior of buyers in trading floors will be the next step: for example, at what counters they are more often delayed what goods cause more positive emotions.

At manufacturing enterprises the system of face recognition gives the chance to automate verification processes of presence of individual protection equipment at workers, such as overalls, goggles, helmets, etc.

Besides, today towards sensing technologies of persons actively watches the banking sector. In the country the National biometric platform designed to create conditions for remote banking is created.

The sensing technology of persons develops so promptly that, be sure, soon enough it will affect all areas of our life.

How, in your opinion, should the modern system integrator to be steady against any shocks – economic, political, personnel change?

Stanislav Iodkovsky: Today we really observe serious changes in the market of system integration. Customers increase own examination, a bright example of that – indicators of such companies as SberTech, VTB and others. To remain competitive, market participants should include in a product portfolio the innovative and unique solutions, such which customers cannot implement due to own examination. In my opinion, in the next years there will be a shift towards service model of provision of services. In other words, only those players of the market who will offer a full range of services will survive – beginning from consulting, deliveries, implementation of difficult infrastructures and finishing with own developments of both hardware, and software products. And, of course, in the conditions of the developed geopolitical situation and state import substitution policy system integrators need to increase examination in the field of domestic software and hardware solutions.

What plans and priorities of development of group in 2018-2019 and in more remote perspective?

Stanislav Iodkovsky: In our plans – at least to save and how at most to increase annual growth rates of business. If to speak about a division of system integration, then we expect that it will significantly expand a solution portfolio both in the field of applied software products, and in the field of services and by 2020 will enter ten the largest players of this segment. As for the production IVA Technologies direction and the direction on development of a system of face recognition, here we are going to occupy an essential share in domestic market.

If to speak about the know-how developed by us, then there is a wish to note first of all the innovative solutions for a radio communication in environments with a high attenuation coefficient and dispersion of electromagnetic waves, such as rocks, sea and sweet water. So, today our specialists develop the prototypes during tests showing the results which were earlier considered as impossible. Our disruptive developments in the field of a radio communication will be provided to the general public already in the nearest future.

Also we have in plans a development of a new line of storage systems. We want to glance forward and to review the concept of architecture of data storage. The superfast solution for data storage will become result of this work, on our intentions. I think that in 2020 we will be able already to surprise the market with the innovation product in this area.
