2021: Announcement of a CT scanner with an AI system that adjusts the device for each patient
On September 21, 2021, GE Healthcare introduced the Revolution Ascend CT system with the Effortless Workflow AI function. The device has a wide aperture of gentry (75 cm) and a low table position, which is convenient for patients with a high body mass index, as well as for people with all kinds of injuries. Another feature is personalized settings, including radiation dose and image quality, for each particular patient. More details here.
2018: Localization of production of CT Revolution EVO in the suburbs
On May 24, 2018, it became known that GE Healthcare in Russia/CIS updated the line of localized 64/128-slice computer tomographs produced in the Moscow Region at the MTL site. As a result, in Russia, as at GE Healthcare enterprises around the world, the production of the last model of the Revolution family of tomographs, Revolution EVO, was launched.
It is planned that the equipment assembled at the MTL site will arrive at Russian clinics in July 2018.
GE's position on localization of medical equipment is to strictly maintain equally high quality standards and to produce modern models of medical equipment at all production sites. We are pleased to announce the update of the 64/128 line of computer tomographs, "said Nina Kandelaki, President and Chief Executive Officer of GE Healthcare in Russia/CIS. |
According to her, Revolution EVO, as of May 2018, is the most modern GE computer tomograph localized in Russia. The scanner opens up wide diagnostic opportunities for Russian doctors and patients, helping to solve the problem of improving the quality and accessibility of medical care.
According to GE Healthcare, Revolution EVO is a computed tomography (CT) system designed to work with a wide range of clinical tasks: from routine X-ray diagnostics to the study of complex injuries and cardiological diseases. It combines advanced next-generation tomograph solutions and all the capabilities of previous models, including a modification of the 128-slice Optima CT660 model, equipped with an algorithm for intelligent correction of coronary artery movement.
In particular, Revolution EVO implements a visualization system that provides high image resolution, which allows you to see the smallest details of anatomical structures up to 0.28 mm in size. Improving the quality of imaging, in turn, helps to expand the range of clinical applications of Revolution EVO and, in the future, optimize the treatment strategy for a wide variety of patients, the company believes.
At the same time, the integrated data collection system of the HiLight Clarity detector reduces the level of electronic noise to 20% compared to the technology of the previous generation, which ensures uniformity of images and eliminates artifacts, say GE Healthcare.
Next-generation iterative reconstruction technology ASiR-V reduces the radiation load of CT tests by up to 82% while maintaining high quality imaging.
In addition, the remote X-ray tube monitoring system provides additional Revolution EVO service. This solution allows you to prevent problems in advance and regulate the need for a planned replacement of a key component of the tomograph, helping to reduce equipment downtime.[1]
