Interactive show-window of the managed transparency of M.Video

Within a pilot project of M.Video equipped four shops in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg with interactive show-windows of the managed transparency, the average size of interactive screens – 6-9 sq.m. Ordinary show-windows turn into multimedia screens and back, providing to passersby information on stocks of retailer and attracting additional traffic in shop. Based on the pilot growth of traffic in some sales points reached two-digit indicators.

The system developed by Electronic money integrator provides fastening of a polymer film on the existing transparent show-window of shop, and in a trading floor the projector broadcasting the set content on a film is located. The software module allows to manage broadcast of any digital formats far off: video, statics, animation, web pages and td.

The show-window has additional interactive functionality and can be transformed to a touchscreen. Use special touchpads which fasten on glass to creation of such show-window and create a field invisible to an eye. At contact the field is broken and the signal is transmitted to a software module, and the projector broadcasts change of the picture.

"The modern retail store should give to the client additional options and unique experience. Therefore M.Video looks for and pilots the interesting ideas for a design of shops and communication with clients. Placement of show-windows helped us to solve several problems at once. First, attraction of additional traffic, secondly, involvement of passersby out of shop in our activities. At last, the "smart" show-window can become the advertizing channel, promoting separate categories or brands."
Georgy Kononov, the Head of Department on retail development
