2017: Mobile application
As in 100 days to turn mobile application from the ordinary tool in modern, convenient, and, above all, the effective communication channel of bank with clients, the director of mobile.SimbirSoft Dmitry Peterson on the example of cooperation with the client of special design bureau told the Lab to us about it in June, 2018.
At the end of summer of 2017 we got to work on mobile application for SKB-Bank. The client already had a working version of mobile bank with the minimum feature set. The task was set for us - in the shortest possible time to increase functionality and to create convenient (= useful) the application for physical and legal clients of bank. So according to the statistics[1], - to make that only 5% of developer companies worked well.
The bank had an ambitious goal – to take the worthy place in ratings with new mobile application. Running forward, I will tell that based on a research of efficiency of the mobile Markswebb Rank & Report banking applications our application took the 4th place of rating of Business Mobile Banking Rank 2017.
Work on the project began with carrying out audit of a current status of applications. Both all technical aspects, and the interface, and business of the logician of the application were subject to a research.
As a result absolutely new design was developed for two platforms (iOS, Android), finished, corrected, optimized and made expanded the code.
In order that the interface was clear to a wide range of users – from housewives to heads of business, at design of mobile application special attention of Usability (convenience of using) and UX (experience of interaction) was paid. And, for physical and the user interface was developed for legal entities.
Thanks to the thought-over algorithms and simplicity of interaction with the interface, time which is spent by the user on accomplishment of actions necessary for it (payments, a binding of several bank cards, check and payment of penalties of traffic police and others) it was reduced to a minimum.
For example:
- it is important to legal entities to check timely partners for risk factors - for this purpose in the interface and logic put check and "color keying of the partner". Existence of this function allows, without coming out the application, to online define the partner on stop factors.
To meet the deadline we were connected to implementation of all range of tasks: not only on development of mobile application, but also bekend.
Having wide experience in development, we knew that the project success in many respects depends on communication between Product owner (the owner of a product) and our responsible (project manager). Their close interaction increased efficiency of communications between commands, and, above all – allowed to make really NUZHNY and a profitable product.
Important aspect for bank projects is BEZOPASNOST. We considered all moments:
- and technical when were integrated with the core banking system of bank and services of data validation,
- and legal, directed by the legislation of the Russian Federation,
- and information when implemented in applications informing users on what can be done and that is not recommended.
Work of the SimbirSoft command the CEO of special design bureau appreciated the Lab Alexander Klepinin: "Having begun with small completion, now we work in a format of the selected center in such directions as front-end development, mobile application development (iOS, Android), testing. As a result of the performed work, in only 100 days we together with special design bureau the Lab could lift convenience of mobile banking to the new level when clients of bank perceive mobile application as the necessary and simple tool for implementation of the daily requirements. Now we continue our cooperation, we develop service of mobile bank, we finish WEB Internet service of banking.
