On June 6, 2018 the 1C-Rarus company announced automation of the Russian office and 19 Benetton Group shops. With the help "1C: Trade Management" an inventory control in shops is optimized. The management system for the prices and discounts is improved, possibilities of system integration increased. Daily information on sales is consolidated in the central office of the company, allowing to analyze each part of work of shops.
Project Objectives
The central office in Russia builds business processes according to the western standards that imposes specific requirements to information systems. At a certain stage it was required to adapt standards of work taking into account the Russian realities. It was necessary to create a flexible management system for the prices, discounts and warehouse transactions in shops, to guarantee exact cost accounting of goods on a FIFO. The detailed and exact analytical reporting including data on articles, the prices, the sizes from each shopping facility of network was required.
It was necessary to adapt work with documents for requirements of the Russian legislation: accelerate and simplify work with printed forms which was complicated by the long period of approval of head office and development of required documents by the corporate contractor earlier. Underwent through the same scheme of approval also each change of earlier used system - this process it was also necessary to accelerate and organize first technical support of an information system.
Project Progress
Staff of the Russian office Benetton addressed to 1C-Rarus company which experts implemented the project on the basis of the 1C: Trade Management program, having adapted it taking into account wishes of users.
Specialists 1C-Rarus automated 58 jobs: 20 at the central office and 38 — in 19 shops. In a system business processes are organized: acceptance of goods, an inventory control on outlets, merchandising between shops, management of the prices and discounts, maintaining the normative reference information. The information system integrates work of merchandisers, accountants, logisticians, product managers and sellers-cashiers.
Project Results
Key results of the project:
- Control of existence of goods in warehouses and their movements between shops which allows to work for warning of errors is organized. Control of goods acceptance in shops is provided. On each arrival or movement of goods a system allows to create the report on quantitative discrepancies and to eliminate them in real time. Every day exact data on number of the goods sold on all network and inventory results are consolidated in the central office. As a result the reliability of the tovarouchet grew — all received data have an official reinforcement and are easily checked.
- Time for creation of reports and work with documents it was reduced many times. For example, loading of structure of inventory from files instead of one hour takes 10 minutes.
- Thanks to the implemented FIFO method it was succeeded to achieve exact cost accounting, including the delivery cost and implementations. These data allowed accounting and the management to receive a real picture about the movement of goods when closing reporting periods.
- In "1C: Trade Management" the system of pricing accurately works. There was an opportunity to quickly change and adjust the prices in response to market changes — fast reaction is especially important in the period of instability of retail. Work with discounts is arranged: for all actions the period of action after which end the prices return to the previous level is determined. Storage of history of installation of the prices helps to build authentic statistics.
- Work with printed forms (TORG-12, S-F, INV-3 and INV-13) is optimized that allows to prepare and hand over the reporting according to the Russian legislation.
- The openness of a system allowed to integrate it with the corporate software (more than 6 own systems and more than 14 data streams) and a retail store equipment, having offered prospect for connection to uniform base of partner shops of network.
- Required completions in the system or making changes in accounting blocks can be implemented quickly and without excess technical approvals. Time of introduction of updates was reduced from several months to several days.

As a result of system implementation the staff of the Russian office Benetton can monitor the movement of trade inventories, analyze data and quickly react to errors. Time for the solution of technical issues was reduced: there is information exchange, discussion and introduction of completions quicker. Earlier all changes were made by the corporate contractor, approving them with head office in Italy. Sometimes on introduction of sharply necessary completions about a year was required. Now this time was reduced at most to a week.
Cooperation continues. In development the joint project on expansion of integration of a system with software providing wholesale operations of the company in Russia and to improvement of partner interaction. The project of integration with own local online store and with the contractors who are responsible for delivery and settling with buyers prepares.
