History
2016: The partnership agreement in the field of information security with Sberbank
On July 15, 2016 Sberbank signed the agreement on strategic partnership in the field of information security with MSU, MSTU of Bauman, Higher School of Economics National Research University, MIPT, MEPhI and the Moscow university Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The agreement provides specialized training of specialists for the subsequent work in Sberbank and also joint surveys, educational and research projects.
"Development of information security systems – one of the most important areas of work of Sberbank, – the vice chairman of the board of Sberbank Stanislav Kuznetsov emphasized. – Strategic partnership with the leading Russian universities will in addition strengthen our positions in this area. Besides, we will help universities to create relevant training programs on information security, and students – to work on applied demanded subjects".
2014: The name of V.Ya. Kikotya is appropriated
On August 12, 2014 — the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of August 12, 2014 No. 566 "About assignment to federal public state educational institution of higher education "Moscow University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation' of the honourable name" to the Moscow University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation appropriates the honourable name of V.Ya. Kikotya.
2011
September, 2011 — the Academy of economic safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation is attached to the University as faculty of economic safety.
2002
June, 2002 of university of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation is the Moscow academy Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Moscow institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation and Legal institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation — are united in the Moscow University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
1999
On November 29, 1999 — on December 14, 1999 — the Order of the Government of the Russian Federation of November 29, 1999 No. 1315 and the Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation of December 14, 1999 No. 1035 the Moscow legal institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation is reorganized into the Moscow academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
1995
July, 1995 — the Moscow higher school of militia of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR was transformed to the Moscow legal institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
1993
1993 — based on the Higher Law Correspondence School (HLCS) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation on the basis of the Resolution of Council of Ministers of the Russian Federation of July 20, 1993 No. 687 the Legal institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation was formed.
1988
1988 — the Moscow Branch of a Legal Correspondence Course (MBLCC) at Ministry of Internal Affairs Academy of the USSR is selected in independent university — the Higher law correspondence school of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR (VYuZSh Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR). The structure of VYuZSh Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR, in addition to the head center in Moscow, also included the Leningrad, Sverdlovsk, Rostov, Stavropol faculty, the Kazan department, Perm (afterwards faculty), the Saratov department of VYuZSh Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR.
1975
1975 — according to the Resolution of Council of Ministers of the USSR in September, 1975 the Higher school of militia of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR with delivery of the Red banner by it is formed.
1974
1974 — based on faculty of a correspondence course of the Higher school of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR the Moscow Branch of a Legal Correspondence Course (MBLCC) at Ministry of Internal Affairs Academy of the USSR was formed. MFYuZO at Ministry of Internal Affairs Academy of the USSR, in addition to the head center in Moscow, had in the structure the branches, the training and counseling centers (TCC), departments located in the republics of the Soviet Union, regions of RSFSR among which there is, for example, the Leningrad, Sverdlovsk, Rostov, Minsk faculty, the Kazan UKP (afterwards department), the Perm, Saratov department of MFYuZO at Ministry of Internal Affairs Academy of the USSR.
1952
1952 — the Higher school of militia of MGB USSR is transformed to university with the right of issue to graduates of the diploma of the USSR about the higher legal education of a uniform sample in Jurisprudence, the term of training is increased up to three years. In the same year the faculty of a correspondence course (FCC) was formed.
1949
1949 — in connection with reform of law-enforcement bodies and their transfer to the Ministry of state security of the USSR the school is separated into two educational institutions — the Higher officer school Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR for training of employees of correctional institutions and the Higher school of militia of MGB USSR.
1946
1946 the school is renamed into the Higher officer school Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR.
1943
1943 — in connection with expansion of a profile of training rates are transformed to the Higher school of NKVD of the USSR.
1934
1934 — rates received the all-union status with formation of NKVD of the USSR, in its structure the militia faculty and faculty of training of staff of correctional facilities are formed. In days of the Great Patriotic War the staff of school was in barracks and served on protection of public order though studies were continued.
1931
1931 — buildings of the former Ivanovsky Monastery were transferred to school.
1930
1930 — rates are transformed to the Central higher school of Workers' and Peasants' militia with the biennial term of training.
1929
On July 9, 1929 — the resolution of Council of People's Commissars of RSFSR in Moscow organized the High courses of improvement of the senior nachalstuyushchy structure of the administrative and militia device which first release took place at the end of 1930.
