Nestle Wagner increases efficiency and flexibility of production with the Getac A140 tablet

On June 13, 2018 the company Getac announced that the company Nestle Wagner carries out a large-scale didzhitalization of production processes by implementation tablet Getac A140 at the the German factory in the city of Nonvayler.

For the purpose of increase in performance indicators and preparation of production for digitalization the company equipped the employees with the protected Getac A140 tablets. Tablet computers added an arsenal of special industrial devices, promoting increase in flexibility of production and a didzhitalization of workflows.

In food production it is important to exclude a possibility of hit of foreign objects in food. With implementation of A140 Nestle obtained a guarantee of maintenance of quality of products, the protected tablet on will break up to parts, even in case of falling.

The tablet is convenient in operation thanks to the compact size and ergonomic design, and the 14-inch screen has the sufficient size to place on it necessary software applications. Management of all standard data and transactions in SAP can be performed also using the stylus.

Representatives of Getac noted that the tablet computer meets the production requirements of Nestle company, including resistance to sharp temperature drops upon transition from oven department to refrigerating.

The protected Getac A140 tablet provides to the staff of Nestle a possibility of simple access to the necessary information and operational data collection without need to leave a production line. Earlier the system of work was based mainly on use of paper carriers: any change in documentation of regulations of food production had to be printed and placed in the special folder, explained in Nestle company. Transition to digital document flow allowed workers of production to get direct access to all documents and to make changes in them, using the tablet. The built-in camera makes working procedures easier more effectively: using photo and video filming employees can fix possible faults and quickly inform the management.
