2018: Global start
In June, 2018 the Google company started the designer of business applications. Service under the name App Maker which was in the testing mode about one and a half years became available to everyone.
App Maker allows the companies to create quickly from program templates by drag and drop of blocks and the subsequent addition with scripts and content based on HTML CSS, JavaScript and JQuery. Indicators of work of a ready-made product can be traced with the help Google Analytics.
It is possible to create corporate applications on the basis of data which are stored in G Suite, Google Cloud or any other database supporting JDBC. Integration with Google services, such as Gmail, Google Calendar Google Drive Google Maps , etc. is supported.
Thanks to App Maker it is possible to develop without profound technical knowledge business tools for acceleration and simplification of workflows which do not affect large corporate CRM, ERP and SCM- systems.
App Maker is available to users of G Suite Business and Enterprise and also to the clients working with G Suite Education.
The applications created through App Maker work based on the same infrastructure of data processing centers, as Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Drive. In turn, given from these applications it is possible to store in the new service under the name Google Drive Tables representing the managed structured database storing information in Google Drive.
App Maker differs from the competing designers of applications, like Mendix, in K2 or Microsoft PowerApps, focus on Google services and lack of integration with third-party products, for example, from Salesforce, TechCrunch notes. However after App Maker exit from the beta Google promises to add additional functions to service.[1]
