2018: Announcement of HPE GreenLake Hybrid Cloud
On June 19, 2018 Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) announced as the company approves, the service, the first in the market, intended for optimization of use of public, private and hybrid clouds. This solution which received the name HPE GreenLake Hybrid Cloud is based on software-defined technology and the platform of management of several clouds for model "as service" HPE OneSphere which simplifies management of multicloud environments and local infrastructure.
According to the press release, HPE GreenLake Hybrid Cloud represents the automated cloud operational model which helps clients to consume cloud resources wherever there were workloads. Service can manage cloud resources in such environments as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure Stack.
Not only an opportunity to control and measure infrastructure is necessary where it is but also to manage it and to provide to clients management of public clouds and also expenses. It is important to understand where there are data and whether they correspond to rules — the senior vice president and the general manager of HPE Pointnext Ana Pinczuk said, commenting on start of HPE GreenLake Hybrid Cloud. |
In addition to other functions this solution provides permanent management and optimization of client environments based on AWS, Microsoft Azure and Azure Stack. The service uses advantages of a cloud computing architecture which HPE got as a result of acquisition of Cloud Technology Partners and RedPixie companies.
Cloud Technology Partners noted that HPE GreenLake Hybrid Cloud undertakes the most part of the hard work which was performed before by the client. Thanks to this service customers will be able quicker to work as digital transformation on which several years left before takes only several weeks now.[1]
