The big data and analytics software market, projected by IDC to exceed $110 billion by 2023, is poised for significant change. Users are looking for a hybrid solution for enterprise datasets located both in the local environment and on the periphery. It is the data that underpins every modernization initiative in any industry. However, companies still have to work with legacy analytics platforms that do not have built-in cloud capabilities, or force them to migrate to a public cloud, which requires process adaptation and can link to a specific service provider. HPE GreenLake cloud services for analytics will enable users to overcome these challenges and provide them with a single platform for data consolidation and modernization everywhere. Together with HPE GreenLake data protection solutions, a platform is now available for users to protect, store, and benefit from their information from the edge of the network to the cloud.

According to the company, HPE continues to develop the HPE GreenLake platform, covering work from the network border to the cloud. As of September 2021, more than 1,200 customers use it, and the total amount of contracts is $5.2 billion. In the third quarter of 2021, HPE announced that the company's revenue in annual terms increased by 33% compared to the same period in 2020, while the number of service orders increased by 46%.

HPE GreenLake provides cloud-based end-to-end analytics and storage services optimized for hybrid HPE environments GreenLake for end-to-end analytics helps users accelerate data modernization initiatives from the edge of the network to the cloud. The cloud services available on the HPE GreenLake Edge-to-Cloud platform are designed specifically to work in the cloud and avoid the difficulty of migrating data to the public cloud. Solutions offer a flexible platform for end-to-end data and application analytics in local environments, peripherals, and public clouds. With the updated capabilities, data processing and analytics professionals will be able to apply cloud service locally, scale Apache Spark datastores using the "lakehouse" model (an open data management architecture that combines flexibility, cost-effectiveness and scale of "data lakes" with ease of management and support for ACID data warehousing transactions) and accelerate the flow of operations using artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies . HPE GreenLake cloud tools include:

  • HPE Ezmeral Unified Analytics is a comprehensive lakehouse analytics and storage platform optimized for local deployment across the entire infrastructure - from the network edge to the cloud.
  • The HPE Ezmeral Data Fabric Object Store is a Kubernetes object store designed to optimize analytics efficiency and provide access to data both at the edge of the network and in the cloud.
  • Expanding the HPE Ezmeral partner ecosystem: HPE Ezmeral Marketplace offers a set of multifunctional solutions from its software partners that will allow users to create their own analytical tools. These include support systems from NVIDIA, PepperData and Confluent, as well as open source projects such as Apache Spark. Since the launch of the platform in May 2021, HPE has connected 37 independent software vendors to the HPE Ezmeral Marketplace, thus providing users with additional support for basic use cases and workloads, including working with big data, artificial intelligence or machine learning.

HPE entered the market for IB solutions according to the "as a service" model with HPE cloud services GreenLake to protect data and upgrade security systems from the network border to the cloud, prevent ransomware attacks and provide fast data recovery, were presented:

  • HPE Backup and Recovery Service - Model-as-a-service backup with orchestration and automation capabilities in line with company policy. The solution is designed to protect the customer's virtual machines in the hybrid cloud and to more easily manage the hardware, software, and cloud infrastructure for backup.
  • HPE GreenLake for Disaster Recovery: As a result of the acquisition of Zero, HPE will provide Zero services for disaster recovery in the form of a service through HPE GreenLake. With the help of Zero solutions, users will be able to recover from ransomware attacks in the shortest possible time.
