Tambovenergo expands use of intelligent metering devices of the electric power

The PJSC IDGC of Centre branch - Tambovenergo continues works on upgrade of the systems of power accounting. Since the beginning of 2018 power engineering specialists mounted 6-10 kV of 25 intelligent metering devices of the electric power (IMDEP) on aerial lines.

Use of such devices allows to exercise in a continuous duty control and electricity metering, to receive data on faults of the equipment. Transfer of data from intelligent metering devices is performed on wireless communication links. All this allows to increase significantly quality of work on identification of the centers of above-standard losses of the electric power in a distribution network.

Until the end of 2018 power engineering specialists are going to set 6-10 kV of 96 more intelligent metering devices of the electric power on aerial lines. Besides, the park of metering devices will be updated on 30 substations of 35-110 kV.

Upgrade of systems of accounting of the electric power and the power grid equipment promotes decrease in losses, increase in efficiency of an electric grid and also quality and reliability of power supply of consumers of the Tambov region.
