Volgaero carried out upgrade of active network equipment of a computer network

On July 9, 2018 the Sinto company announced project completion on upgrade of active network equipment of a computer network in Volgaero company.

Prerequisites of the Project

According to the approved development plan for the corporate computer network of the enterprise regular replacement of active network equipment of a computer network of the Enterprise was planned for 2016-2017. The existing equipment CISCO fulfilled more than 12 years in the non-feet mode and ceased to meet requirements to high-speed performance and compatibility with modern operating systems and workstations.

Project Objective

The management made the decision to replace obsolete KVS and to implement in IT infrastructure the modern equipment allowing to increase network performance, to provide the high level of security and reliability of management.

Project Progress

For upgrade of the local computer network to the Customer solutions based on D-Link and CISCO were proposed. As a result the decision on purchase and installation of the CISCO systems was made:

• Core switch
• Access switches
• Firewall
• Optical transceivers.

For updating of an optical line of communication it was used cable system Nikomax.

Features used in the draft decision:

• High-speed transmission of information at the expense of configuration parameters and functions of the switch of a core of network;
• High reliability and protection against the malware;
• Decrease in electricity consumption due to energy saving capabilities of Cisco switches;
• Improvement of management and infrastructure maintenance for the realization account of the project on the equipment of uniform producer.

Staff of SINTO company performed works on selection of technical solution, supply of equipment, installation of the firewall (with setup of a configuration and security policies) and optical lines of communication of Nikomax. Setup and testing of the switch of a core, access switches, media converters (transfer of the VLAN settings, configurations of routing, the IP addresses, etc., setup of security policies and so forth), complex setup of network interaction in the local computer network is made.

Project Results

In February, 2018 upgrade of network infrastructure of Volgaero Ltd is complete. With implementation of the equipment CISCO all requirements of the Customer were fulfilled and the following results are achieved:

• The upgraded network equipment completely conforms to the stated requirements of the Enterprise to high-speed performance and compatibility with the used workstations and software tools;
• Safe interaction within the company and via the Internet 24/7/365 due to consolidation of basic network functions (including switching, routing, optimization of work on the global area network and Internet services) and formation of secure channels is provided;
• Centralized operation by network with simultaneous providing a reliable communication between the employees working at office and beyond its limits is simplified;
• The stated parameters of scalability give the chance to add and update the equipment as required;
• Costs for the realization account of the project in a single system of CISCO are reduced operational.
