Rostelecom connected Ak Bars Bank to a Single biometric system

On July 10, 2018 it became known that Rostelecom connected Ak Bars Bank to the Single Biometric System (SBS). The Russian provider of digital services organized secure access to resources of a national cloud platform and integrated the system of remote biometric identification with bank services.

In Tatarstan and the Volga Federal District the bank was among the Russian credit institutions which began to collect biometric data and to register users in a system.

Since July, 2018 clients the Ak Bars of Bank can hand over biometric data in Kazan on Dekabristov St., 1. Further will begin to accept biometrics also other departments of regional network of bank.

For Rostelecom it was useful experiment on working off of technology processes which is useful to us at connection and service of other financial credit institutions. We see, as other banks of the Volga Federal District show interest in this technology. Registration of citizens is free. The only condition – presence at the client of one of products of bank. After registration in EBS the user will be able to receive remotely services of any bank working on the system of remote service.

For registration in a system clients need to visit bank once. The operator will help to enter data on the Gosuslugi portal (in the Unified identification and authentication system – a Unified identification and authentication system), "will take off" biometric data of the user (will make a photo and will record a voice) and will load them into a Single biometric system.
