Virtu Systems develops CommCloud for an output of IT products to the market of insurance services

On July 20, 2018 the Linxdatacenter company announced rendering assistance of Virtu Systems company in end of the first stage of preparation of a segment of a metrocluster of CommCloud for providing on its basis of insurance services and products on cloud model.

Project Tasks

Virtu Systems was faced by a task to provide a possibility of deployment of the solutions in private a cloud, to cut down expenses and to minimize risks when implementing traditional approaches to use of DPCs, namely to replace the classical scheme of stacking of optical network switches in a network architecture for benefit of VRRP technology (Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol is the network protocol intended for increase in availability of the routers executing a gateway role) for the network switches L2 and L3 which provides the high level of fault tolerance and reduces risk of a human factor.

Project Progress

For implementation of a task the company selected option with deployment of the cloud Enterprise-solution on the Moscow platform Linxdatacenter on the private cloud model. The DPC provided to the customer access to MVP (minimum viable product) – the minimum working configuration of a prototype of the information system Virtu Systems. The private cloud of CommCloud from Virtu Systems in Linxdatacenter is constructed on the classical architectural model assuming purchase of all complex of necessary "iron" and network components: servers with the organization of physical and logical access, DWH, network components, the software for virtualization, solutions on cybersecurity taking into account requirements 152-FZ.

"We purchased in DPC of Linxdatacenter in Moscow the selected closed zone on four racks with computing and network point. The solution is completely constructed on components of production of Lenovo. As hardware computing systems the Lenovo ThinkSystem SR630 servers, for data storage – Lenovo V5030 array, and for data transmission – the Fibre Channel the Lenovo DB610S switch are used 1U. Purchasing all components of infrastructure at the uniform supplier, reliability and fault tolerance of all HSS, at the expense of an exception of the conflicts between elements, standards and protocols increases". The contribution of Lenovo to the project was not limited to supply of "iron": the vendor verified the specification of the equipment according to requirements of the customer, having provided the most working and economically reasonable solution within the budget. Lenovo also noted that the company in the conditions of deadlines could finish a network part of the project to the required level of reliability and put possibilities of growth and scaling of a system and also provided installation and training of staff of Virtu Systems in skills of setup and administration of the used systems.

In 4 months was the ready-made solution is put in operation. Start of a CommCloud segment is planned for September, 2018. Linxdatacenter expects that within a year after a project startup growth of the consumed Virtu Systems resources will be 200-300%.
