2019: Availability of recognition of QR codes to Android

On January 9, 2020 reported Smart Engines that its sensing technology of QR codes became available to users of mobile bank of Rocketbank to Android. Thanks to it clients had an opportunity to pay taxes, penalties and receipts of housing and public utilities for the QR code without the need for manual entry of details. All calculations in the course of recognition are executed on the mobile phone of the user in real time.

In the updated application of Rocketbank recognition barcodes in a video flow is implemented. The solution Smart Engines provides to clients the high accuracy and speed of recognition of barcodes, and is available to use even on inexpensive smartphones. QR Code recognition is applied to payment of receipts housing and communal services, and for payment of receipts FTS RUSSIAN FEDERATION AZTEC will be recognized. In the list of the supported types one-dimensional barcodes of UPC-A, UPC-E, EAN-8, EAN-13, Code 39, Code 93, Code 128 and two-dimensional QR Code, AZTEC, PDF 417, Data Matrix.

2018: Implementation of Smart IDReader

On July 24, 2018 the Smart Engines company announced implementation of a sensing technology of the certifying documents Smart IDReader in mobile application and a server framework of Rocketbank. As it was reported, using the solution of Smart Engines bank company automates data entry at primary identification of new clients by the Russian Federation citizen passport.

According to the company, the possibility of recognition of the Russian Federation citizen passport and other countries is available in mobile application to representatives of Rocketbank on devices based on iOS and Android. To enter data of the client the representative scans the passport using the smartphone camera. Recognition of the document using Smart IDReader goes in a video flow and takes only several seconds.

Safety of work with personal data in Smart IDReader in mobile applications is reached because all calculations at recognition are executed on phone and only its RAM of the device is used. The program does not store, does not create copies and does not transfer personal data to processing to a cloud or on the external server.

When filling the questionnaire on the website the user loads images of the documents which via secure channels are transferred to processing on the server of Rocketbank. There is a service implemented based on Smart IDReader, finds documents on the image, defines type of each document and will recognize on it all necessary information.

The arrived request is processed according to internal requirements of bank and the bank card is delivered to the client. After activation of the card in mobile bank of Rocketbank opening of deposits, money transfers, payment of services and execution of insurance contracts become available to the client to travel across Russia and abroad.
