As of July, 2018, the management structure of Federal Antimonopoly Service across the Samara region contains 7 departments.
The main objectives assigned to OFAS across the Samara region:
- control of observance of the antitrust law, including in the field of power industry, use of the earth, a subsoil, water and other natural resources;
- control of a compliance with law about the competition in the market of financial services;
- supervision and control of a compliance with law about natural monopolies;
- supervision and control of a compliance with law about advertizing (regarding the powers of antimonopoly authority set by the legislation);
- control of a compliance with law about order placement on delivery of goods, execution of works, rendering services for the state and municipal needs (except for powers on control in the field of order placement on deliveries of goods, execution of works, rendering services in the state defense order).
History
2018: Identification of large cartel within biddings on service of the medical equipment
In 2016 cartel collusion in which Sovremennye meditsinskiye tekhnologii» (SMT) LLC, Medsimvol LLC and The Center of Effective Surgery — Health LLC participated was opened, and as helpers employees of Dzhii Helskea LLC (the Russian representative office of GE Healthcare entering into General Electric), the Ministries of Health of the Samara region and the employee of the Samara regional clinical hospital of V.D. Seredavin also acted. Leonid Pak, the head of the Samara OFAS told on July 23, 2018 about identification and suppression of activity of cartel. Read more here.
