Dobroflot passed to cloud services

On July 30, 2018 Softline announced transition of Dobroflot companies to cloud services. Solutions which were considered during the project will allow to increase personnel labor productivity to 40%.

To estimate readiness of IT infrastructure for use of cloud computing taking into account the short-term and long-term business development strategy, the management of Dobroflot group made the decision on start of the SAM project. The IT partner selected Softline which specialists have necessary competences on project implementation of Software Asset Management.

For increase in efficiency of joint work of personnel at the geodistributed offices, the customer considered use of cloud mail services. Earlier the group had several solutions, but because of their heterogeneity there were technical difficulties and it was impossible to create uniform communicative space in the organization.

Specialists of Softline carried out the overview of program assets of Microsoft on 635 PCs and 56 servers. For ensuring the maximum synergy of business processes and productivity of operation of applications experts recommended to use Lync, Exchange, SharePoint. As a cloud analog of these resources it was offered to consider a subscription to the products Office 365 Plan E3. Their deployment will allow Dobroflot to construct a single platform of corporate communications for geographically distributed offices that will increase personnel labor productivity by 20-40%. Besides, the client will have an opportunity to determine unlimited number of the local server software, thus implementing hybrid infrastructure. And it is a way to flexible resource allocation depending on needs and growth rates of business.

As the separate project deployment of a cloud service of Exchange Online or its use according to the hybrid scenario was considered. Having selected Exchange Online, the client will receive service with the guaranteed 24/7 availability and flexible monthly payment of the consumed resources.

The calculation of an investment payback when using Exchange Online for 800 users of the customer prepared by experts of Softline taking into account his business strategy and the IT budget showed good results. Transition to Exchange Online will help Dobroflot to control the current and future expenses on maintenance of IT infrastructure and to create a comfortable environment for joint work of personnel.
