"PUL a trance" optimized infrastructure of SQL databases

On August 2, 2018 the Russian company ITERBI announced end the project on optimization of infrastructure databases SQL within Microsoft SAM the Services program for Ust-Luga port of transport company JSC (PUL a trance).

According to the company, the project in PUL company the trance consisted of two parts.

At the first stage specialists of ITERBI inspected the current infrastructure of databases of the company, revealed strong and weaknesses, formulated the list of specific steps on optimization of SQL infrastructure for performance improvement.

At the second stage consultants of ITERBI studied the current situation on deployment and use of products of Microsoft, analyzed processes of timely updating, channels of acquisition.

As it was reported, as a result of inspection the report on optimization of IT infrastructure and license compliance of software was created, practical recommendations about performance improvement of SQL servers and processes of management of program assets are provided.

The customer provided high organizational readiness for carrying out the project. During inspection we were convinced that the customer's IT specialists systemically and responsibly approach accounting of licenses and control of license compliance. We managed to plan the main ways of optimization of databases which will allow to increase performance and security of IT systems.
