On August 13, 2018 the Advanta Consulting company announced system implementation of project management of transformation of the mail operator of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kazpost.
Project Objectives
Need to keep intensive development of post offices in the whole country and to provide growth of profitability of services became a main objective of implementation.
"Our company headed for digitalization. Leaving in digital space, development of technologies of e-commerce, participation in the program of transformation of business – and it is yet not all range of the directions which are supported by Kazpost. In implementation – more than 70 projects of different scale and level of complexity connected with upgrade of service for clients and quality improvement of services. Project Objectives:
- process automation of project management in the company
- reduction of time for collecting of the reporting
- creation of unified information environment for all participants of project activity.
Project Tasks:
- collect the most complete data about all implemented development projects in a short time
- automate budget management of the project and post-project monitoring of the financial result received using a project product
- simplify formation of the regulated reporting for management company
- involve geographically distributed project participants in uniform space of communication and provide regular updating of data on the project progress.
Project Results
"The final functionality of a system included: the register of projects, scheduling, control of terms, budgets, costs and benefits from the project. A system was easy in setup (did not require additional programming), the flexible reporting in preparation and management of the project documentation. For August, 2018 all active projects of Kazpost are kept in a system, it became much simpler to manage them, near at hand always up-to-date and reliable information according to project statuses, the number of projects with violation of planned dates decreased. System implementation and process automation of project management brings closer our company to achievement of strategic objectives, doing it more managed and capable to fast changings in the conditions of global challenges of the market". Project Results:
- In three weeks more than 70 projects with the modified plans and financial data are transferred to a system, the first reporting information is created.
- The project management methodology on control points is implemented, control of observance of methodology is provided.
- Post-project monitoring of financial results is automated.
- 2 dashbord are developed: control of the statuses of project implementation for the investment and innovation committee and the rating of efficiency of project managers.
For August, 2018 in a system 80 projects are traced (3 types of projects: development projects, infrastructure and process projects), 500 control points, 5,000 tasks, 150 instructions, work in the system of 130 users.
