Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant creates jobs using VDI and PCoIP technologies

On August 21, 2018 the TONK company announced that in 2018 Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant continued transfer of jobs of the employees to platforms TONK 1100Z.

Delivery of thin clients within a pilot project for JSC Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant entering into Helicopters of Russia holding took place in 2017. The task consisted in implementation of VDI technology for the solution of office tasks (MS Office + 1C) in the environment of virtualization of VMware. VDI is the technology allowing to create virtual IT infrastructure and to develop full-fledged jobs based on the server systems at which the set of virtual machines – personal jobs works. For users it looks as a usual workplace on the ordinary computer, with personal graphic, file and media applications, with a connectivity on the Internet or an information network from any, including own devices of staff of the company.

As the thin client TONK 1100Z hardware-assisted the PCoIP protocol was used. Further TONK 1100Z will be used for jobs of designers and technologists Siemens TeamCenter NX (+) on technology Nvidia Grid.

As integrator in this project the Sinto company which provided timely shipment of the equipment with further input in an ekpluatation acted.

On a response of the customer, TONK 1100Z was proved well and renovation of jobs takes place step by step, in proportion to decommissioning of the old equipment.
