MTS will invest 1 billion rubles in development of a communications infrastructure of the Orenburg region

MTS, the Russian telecommunication operator and provider of digital services, and the Government of the Orenburg region announced on August 23, 2018 strategic partnership within program implementation, directed to digitalization of economy of Orenburg Oblast. Within the agreement MTS invests in development of a communications infrastructure and the digital directions of economy 1 billion rubles till 2020.

The document on cooperation is signed on August 23 during working meeting of the governor of the Orenburg region Yury Berg and the president of MTS Alexey Korn.

Development to Orenburg Oblast of the innovative technologies and services connected with digitalization of economy, the industry and the social sphere of the region and also development of a communications infrastructure in the territory of the area will become the priority direction of cooperation.

Testing for territories of the region of the innovation digital services and solutions of MTS within the "digital city" project and also in the field of Internet of Things (IoT), telemedicine and educational services, developments in the field of a fintekh, cyber security, Big Data, cloud services and e-commerce will become one of elements of implementation of the agreement.
