2018: Announcement of the smartwatch

At the end of August, 2018 the Casio company announced third generation of the wrist computerized watch of Pro Trek Smart. The model under designation WSD-F30 has high degree of protection against damages and the color preset cards which can use without connection to the Internet.

In the smartwatch the 1.2-inch display with resolution capability 390 x 390 pixels found application. The screen has two layers: color TFT LCD and monochrome LDC. The last is used for time display, date, pressure, height above sea level, a charge of the accumulator and a compass. Other layer serves for navigation. By the way, the device can save GPS coordinates about movement of the user within three days in succession.

The wearable gadget has protection according to the military MIL-STD-810G standard therefore it is possible to submerge it without effects on water depth to 50 meters and to drop on a plain surface.

In hours two operation modes are provided:

• Multi Timepiece Mode — for the purpose of economy of a charge all functions are disconnected, except sensors and time on the black-and-white screen; in such mode hours can independently function within a month;

• Extend Mode is work of hours with a full range of functions; it is possible to watch the loaded cards and to use GPS. Hours work in the normal mode without recharge about one and a half days.

The device works running the Wear OS operating system and is compatible to smartphones based on Android 4.4 (or later versions) and iOS 9.3 (and later). Wireless functions are implemented by means of Bluetooth Wi-Fi modules 4.1 LE and b/g/n. In hours there is a built-in microphone.

Dimensions of a product make 60.5 x 53.8 x 14.9 mm.

The protected Casio Pro Trek Smart WSD-F30 smartwatch will begin to be sold in January, 2018 and will cost $549.^[1]
