Swed-Mobil manages all office infrastructure from a cloud Croc

On August 30, 2018 the CROC company reported that Swed-Mobil uses a cloud of CROC for ensuring reliable work of all office infrastructure and reduction of capital costs of IT.

As it was reported, the company transferred to a cloud of CROC to outsourcing all infrastructure for a back office, including terminal servers, file services, application servers and also some front office systems, including a financial system based on 1C.

Trouble-free operation of a cloud platform became the key requirement of the customer to provider of cloud services. Several hours of idle time because of which sales managers will not be able to sign the agreement actually mean a lost profit. An important factor when choosing the contractor of the Swed-Mobil project considered flexibility of management of a cloud. Also, the customer independently manages computing resources, switching-off virtual machines for the night. Thereby reduces the check for the consumed capacities to 50%.

According to the company, the cloud of CROC works based on geographically distributed network of data centers that provides protection against failures in work of the placed systems. The powerful computing equipment allows to place the high-loaded databases. And the management console which API is compatible to Amazon services gives the chance to connect new resources in a format, convenient for many clients.

The car dealer uses isolated virtual environment in a cloud of CROC. Process of migration in it happens much quicker. So, directly start of all applications of Swed-Mobil in a cloud of CROC is performed in one day. The isolated environment also allows to transfer systems without additional completions, than the Swed-Mobil company also used. The 1C system which the personnel of the customer use works at rather old platform. Meanwhile, its migration without upgrade of being able "as is" is carried out successfully without any serious labor costs from the customer.
