Inoventica Services bought the next lot of hi-end of the equipment of HPE

2018: Delivery contract of DWH of HPE 3PAR StoreServ

The Inoventica group announced on September 28, 2018 the conclusion of the next large contract for delivery of hi-end of the equipment of an operator class with a maximum capacity of 0.5 PBytes of production of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) company. At the catalog prices the cost of the purchasing equipment in a complete configuration is about 10 million rubles.

History of cooperation

Cooperation of Inoventica and HPE began in 2013 within the project on deployment based on DPC of Inoventica of the platform of delivery of cloud services on the basis of HP CloudSystem. Then Inoventica invested in DWH of HPE 3PAR StoreServ Storage (at that time HP 3PAR), with the purpose to increase the existing infrastructure capacities by 3 times and also to expand the range of the offered services. The result of testing of solutions of different vendors showed that the solutions HPE correspond to the technology strategy of the Inoventica group.

Equipment procurement purpose

For the purpose of satisfaction of the growing demand for services "Virtual server VPS/ VDS" on the platform virtualizations KVM and also increases in performance level of infrastructure cloud of services on the platform Microsoft Hyper-V, Inoventica Services bought the next lot of hi-end of the equipment of family storage systems HPE 3PAR StoreServ in a configuration with solid-state disks (SSD) total capacitance of 0.5 PBytes.

By Inoventica estimates, from September, 2017 to September, 2018 the number of the rendered services "The virtual server VPS/VDS" on the KVM virtualization platform grew by 50% and for the first time for all history of the company exceeded the number of the rendered services "The virtual server VPS/VDS" on the Microsoft Hyper-V platform for 10% at once.

Project Results

It is supposed that within the first stage of implementation hi-end of the equipment of HPE the additional capacity of storage systems for creation of the IT infrastructure intended for rendering the distributed cloud services on a massmarket will be 100 Tbyte.

As of September 28 the total computing power of the equipment of HPE installed on platforms of DPCs Inoventica is 6.5 petaFLOPS, and storage volume – 60 PBytes.
