Cognitive Technologies implements AI in the Tomsk region

On October 10, 2018 the Cognitive Technologies company announced agreement signature between the developer of the systems of the artificial intelligence for pilotless vehicles Cognitive Technologies company and Administration of the Tomsk region aimed at the development of cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence for the smart cities and also pilotless transport. In its framework the parties assume to combine efforts on development of solutions in the field of the smart city, carrying out research and development of technologies of pilotless transport in the territory of the Tomsk region, to formation of conditions for creation of additional jobs, creation of test platforms and polygons, including in the field of smart agriculture. The Governor of the Tomsk region Sergey Zhvachkin and the President of Cognitive Technologies Group Olga Uskova participated in a ceremony of signing.

Development of technologies for the project of the neural city will become one of the main directions of joint works.

In the conditions of the dynamic growth of the cities and also the increasing mobility of the population, the cities begin to compete for quality of life of the inhabitants. It becomes a key factor, along with quality of city infrastructure. Experts call the cities which are widely using artificial intelligence technologies in the development "the neural cities" - the smart urban environment which is designed to expand possibilities of the person, to increase security and comfort of its stay in the city. It is supposed that within the Neural City project of technology of computer vision will be used for creation of the database and the analysis of a video information about the city, its problem zones: damages of a roadbed, signs, marking and other elements of infrastructure, fault of lighting, open manholes, etc. The project also provides automatic generation of instructions to responsible structures for elimination of the problems revealed by artificial intelligence with execution control function.

Joint work in the area to training will become the separate direction of cooperation between the Tomsk region and Cognitive Technologies company. The company also signs the agreement with the Tomsk state university of management systems and radio electronics (TSUCSR). The document provides implementation of preparation and advanced training of specialists, carrying out scientific research in the field of artificial intelligence, to exchange of educational and scientific technologies.
