2018: Development of WB-15-W

On October 18, 2018 the ELTEX company reported that it started development of wireless access point with LTE for city transport and public places.

WB-15-W is a compact all-weather wireless access point Wi-Fi with support of the LTE modem for connection of the equipment to the Internet and a possibility of reservation of channel 2G/3G/4G

According to the company, the access point of WB-15-W has 1 Ethernet-port 10/100 Base-T and wireless Wi-fi interface 802.11b/g/n. The device supports the router mode, tracking of quality of connection with the base station and traffic shaping. On the WB-15-W front panel the tray for installation to two nano-sim cards 2G/3G/4G is located.

WB-15-W ensures functioning in the Access point mode that gives the chance to organize mobile HotSpot in public places and city transport with portal authorization (Captive Portal), executing Order of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 758 of July 31, 2014 (the functionality will be implemented in version 1.2.0).

The device can be mounted on a ceiling in the bus or the train. The necessary set of fastening is included in the delivery. For connection to a vehicle network power connector DC of 9-36 V is provided in a point. A power supply is made via jumpers (in transport) or on Passive PoE technology.

At connection of the remote street objects which do not have hardwired connection thanks to special external connectors, it is possible to pick up necessary antennas and without effort to find such provision at which the signal will be the most qualitative.
