Rostelecom connected on optics the Mercedes Benz plant in Esipovo

On October 22, 2018 Rostelecom reported that it provided optical communication links for the Mercedes Benz plant in the Solnechnogorsk district. For this purpose specialists of provider laid in addition more than seven kilometers of optics and also configured operation of VPN channels.

The plant on production of the Mercedes Benz cars in Russia is located in the Moscow region in the industrial Esipovo park. On the land plot of 85 hectares Rostelecom organized two independent, geographically communication diversity channels. The constructed infrastructure will allow the customer to connect services of high-speed Internet access, telephony, cloud services, etc.

Creation of two independent communication channels for "Mercedes Benz" is a strategic decision. Reservation of lines will allow to switch as fast as possible to the additional canal, in case of damage of the basic. The infrastructure created by Rostelecom gives the chance, for example, to automate production due to the implementing solutions IoT – "Internet of Things.
