Rostec supplied to India ferrite parts for the satellite equipment

Customers: Center for space applications (The Space Applications Centre, SAC)

Mechanical engineering and instrument making

Project date: 2018/03  - 2018/09

On October 22, 2018 Goskorporatsia Rostec reported that the Ruselectronics holding performed delivery of ferrite products to the Center for space applications of the Government of India. These materials will be used as a part of superhigh-frequency devices for space satellites.

"transferred by Scientific Research Institute Ferrit-Domen to the customer microwave ferrite for the space industry. They allow to manage precisely in the conditions of the solar radiation and other noises fluctuations of waves, to switch an energy flow from one direction to another, in parts or in full to absorb flow power. These characteristics allow to use microwave ferrite as component parts of the space Microwave technique steady against influence of solar radiation. For example, as a part of superhigh-frequency receivers, transmitters, radiometers and other equipment.

India continues to increase actively the rates of mastering of space, its expenses in this sphere exceed $1.2 billion a year. The country for October, 2018 takes the fifth place in the rating of spacefaring nations and intends to strengthen the positions. Initial supply of ferrite for the Indian civil satellites allows us to open other direction of cooperation and to be fixed in this fast-growing market. Thanks to expansion of interaction with India in 2018 we expect to increase by 4 times a share of export of ferrite products in comparison with 2017.
