On October 31, 2018 the Nasdaq exchange implemented Microsoft Azure blockchain technology in the module of management of finance. This step should provide compatibility with different a blockchain networks and secure internetwork payments through the Nasdaq Financial Framework (NFF) platform.
NFF provides the software for the trading companies which allows clients of Nasdaq to experiment with new applications, without developing infrastructure "from scratch". Partnership with Microsoft will allow the exchange to use a blockchain for transaction management between different networks which use different payments mechanisms as Microsoft Azure supports a set a blockchain networks. In general integration of Azure will allow users of NFF to create different blockchains via one general interface.
Considering that Microsoft also strictly monitors appropriate level of security, productivities and logicians of operational processes, implementation of Microsoft Azure in the module of management of finance will allow the Nasdaq exchange to secure carrying out payments between different platforms. Besides, it is supposed that integration of technologies will facilitate process of search of suitable buyers and sellers, optimizes systems management of services and also settlement of accounts.
Delegation of a part of powers and responsibility of Microsoft will allow the staff of the Nasdaq exchange to give more time to work with clients, the senior vice president for corporate architecture of Nasdaq Tom Fay considers. Partnership with Microsoft eliminates some difficulties of integration of technology of a blockchain into the existing infrastructures of the exchange thanks to what Nasdaq it is ready to present to clients the economic, safe and large-scale solution in the field of software for trade transactions.[1]
