On November 12, 2018 Softline announced creation of a failover cluster of virtualization based on VMware in Irkutskoygosudarstvenny medical academy of life-long professional education. At the expense of it the flexibility of use of virtual servers and controllability of a server framework increased.
IT infrastructure in the Irkutsk state medical academy of life-long professional education was not centralized: a part of services is virtualized, a part – was located on physical servers. Besides, the park of the equipment was rather diverse. The lack of a uniform and manageable server cluster complicated administration of web services, load of IT personnel grew. For this reason in organization the decision on creation of a uniform IT environment was made.
The technology of virtualization of VMware gives opportunities of more rational capacity utilization, management of both physical servers, and virtual machines from the single console.
The command of Softline company which acted as the IT partner of the project delivered to the customer two servers and a storage system, created and configured a failover cluster based on VMware, carried out migration of virtual and physical servers on the updated infrastructure. In project completion training in work with the implemented solution of the IT specialist of medical academy was provided.
We created the unified virtualization environment where web services and accounting were postponed for the customer. In fact it is a core infrastructure which can be flexibly scaled further depending on the arising requirements. Alexander Moskalyov, manager on sale of solutions of Softline company
