ELAR completed scanning and retroconversion of the General alphabetical catalog in TsBS of the city district Balashikha

On November 14, 2018 ELAR corporation announced end scanning and retroconversion of the General alphabetical catalog in the Centralized library system of the city district Balashikha. As a result more than 17,000 electronic records of the General alphabetical catalog in the RUSMARC format reflecting the organizations of the edition which are available in funds, documents, a photo and video content are created. The project is executed within a task of the organization of a system of a public knigopolzovaniye in the City district Balashikha.

The organization of the leisure multifunctional centers where it is comfortable and it is possible to spend time behind reading with advantage, work with funds via the Internet will provide inhabitants of all age and social categories with an opportunity to take fruitful part in cultural and educational life of the area. Thanks to implementation of digital technologies, we carry out our main task – we increase availability of library stocks and services in electronic form that conforms to all modern requirements of library service. The implemented project will allow not only to fill up the TsBS Electronic directory of the City district Balashikha, but also to provide information for the summary electronic directory of all libraries of the Moscow region which forms within the Reset of Libraries of Moscow Area program approved in 2017.
