APM Studio is the module of solid and superficial modeling.
The module APM Studio is intended for creation of superficial and solid-state objects in three-dimensional space and preparation of the constructed models for strength and dynamic analysis and also for accomplishment of calculations and visualization of results of these calculations.
APM Studio is constructed based on own mathematical core of APM Engine developed by specialists of STC of APM. The core of APM Engine serves for accomplishment of set of Boolean transactions over standard form-building elements and storages of formats of geometrical elements.

Integration with the Geometrical core of C3D
On November 14, 2018 C3D Labs, the developer geometrical core of C3D and ASCON, announced that STC OF APM he (Russia) selected a geometrical core of C3D for development of the CAE- lines. In particular, the STC of APM will use a geometrical core from C3D Labs in the product which is responsible for preparation of 3D models for calculations. In more detail here.
Structure of APM Studio
Instruments of geometrical modeling, preparation of assemblies for calculation, tasks of boundary conditions and loadings and also the built-in generators of a final and element grid (both with permanent, and with a variable step) and the post-processor are a part of APM Studio. This functional set allows to simulate a superficial or solid-state object and in a complex to analyze behavior of a design model at different influences.
Modeling in APM Studio
In the module APM Studio both the superficial, and solid-state objects consisting of one part, or presented in the assembly form can be created.
At creation of the sketch transactions of drawing of lines, circles and arcs of circles, polygons, facets and roundings off and also operations of truncation, alignment on border, shifts of an object and its copying, mirror display of an object, creation of rectangular and circular arrays, turn of objects, etc. are available.
Information can be transferred to the sketch also from third-party graphics editors by import using the *.dxf and *.agr formats and also to import parametrical flat models from APM Graph.
