Biography

Investigation showed that for many years Ghosn and Kelly in reports for Tokyo Stock Exchange announced the amount of compensations which was less actual amounts. It became to underestimate Carlos Ghosn's remunerations. Besides, the numerous facts of use by mister Ghosn of company assets in the purposes, said in the statement of Nissan are opened.

The company transferred collected data to prosecutor's office of Japan and is ready to cooperate with the investigation. The Japanese legislation provides on the brought charges including criminal liability.

As specifies the Kyodo agency, in five years Carlos Ghosn underestimated data on the income by $44 million according to NHK, in 2016 financial year the top manager received nearly 1.1 billion yens (about $9.7 million) as remuneration. However in reports other amount — 730 million yens was specified, reports TV channel. Carlos Ghosn  voluntarily pled in the Tokyo prosecutor's office guilty on November 19, 2018.

The Bloomberg agency reminds that a large income of Ghosn was many years a criticism subject. Most of all disputes were in France where as to it paid to the director of Renault about $9 million a year. Shareholders of Renault in the past refused to approve similar payments.^[2]

2019: Escape from Tokyo to Lebanon in a box for the equipment

Ghosn who denies the charges brought to him, said that he made the decision to flee to Lebanon as did not hope for fair judicial proceedings in Japan. The businessman spoke about intention to try to obtain honor and dignity protection by any available legal method.

I would be ready to appear before the court in any place where, in my opinion, fair trial could be provided to me — Ghosn told, answering a question in what country he is going to try to obtain justice, considering existence of nationality of three countries.

2020

Forecasting of bankruptcy of Nissan in 2-3 years

Nissan Motor will go bankrupt within two-three years, the former head of the company Carlos Ghosn predicts. He made the corresponding statement before escape from Japan to the lawyer Nobuo Gokhare who collected information for release of the book on Ghosn. The lawyer told about it to journalists on January 22, 2020.

Gokhara held five meetings with Ghosn in the last two months during which they discussed a situation with arrest of the former head of Nissan and the held investigation. Gokhara and Ghosn's last meeting took place in two days prior to escape of the top manager of the Japanese car maker.

Gokhara noted what Ghosn did not explain, than the opinion on bankruptcy is caused. For the last year the share value of Nissan dropped almost by 31%.

Everything that Nissan had to make, it to consult with lawyers and Board of Directors to make corrections in payments — Gokhara told.

Investigation concerning accomplices of escape of Carlos Ghosn

On July 8, 2020 it became known that Carlos Ghosn transferred $862.5 thousand Fox LLC company for the organization of escape. Reuters with reference to US Attorney Office reports about it.

Brought charge to court the bank transfers made in October, 2019 in the amount of $540 thousand and $322.500 from the bank account of Ghosn in Paris of the Fox LLC company managed by Michael Taylor and his son Peter. According to the statement of prosecutor's office, these transfers demonstrate that resources for flight are available for arrested, and, therefore, they should remain under guards. The judge Donald Keybl rejected a request Taylor about canceling of their warrants for the arrest and did not satisfy the petition for release on the security.

Michael and Peter Taylor were delayed on May 20, 2020. The warrant for their arrest was issued at the request of Japan. Peter Taylor this day was going to take off for Beirut.

The former head of Nissan paid $862 thousand for escape from under arrest and disappeared

Before the Turkish prosecutor's office accused seven people of the Ghosn's escape. In particular, charges were brought to the owner of the MNG Jet freight company. The investigation believes that Ghosn ran away from Japan to Lebanon with change in Istanbul by the airplane of this company. By July, 2020 the former head of Nissan remains in Lebanon.

The US Attorney Office claims that Teylora were key participants of escape of Ghosn, referring to results of the investigation made in Japan, including to videos of movements of the father and son in Japan.^[4]

The son paid the Ghosn's escape in a box with cryptocurrency - new details

On July 23, 2020 new details of escape of Carlos Ghosn from under arrest became known. According to Reuters with reference to court documents, the son of the former head of Nissan Anthony Ghosn paid $500 thousand in cryptocurrency to Peter Taylor — one of suspects of the organization of escape of Ghosn of Japan — for the help to the father.

It is reported that transfer was executed after Carlos Ghosn left Japan by the private airplane in a box for musical instruments. Anthony Ghosn sent cryptocurrency through the Coinbase platform.

In addition to Peter Taylor, his father, the former fighter of the American special troops Mike Taylor took part in the organization escape. As reported by Bloomberg, taking into account all payments of Teylora received from the Ghosn's family in total $1.36 million according to prosecutors, at Taylor "there are resources for flight from the country", and the Ghosn's family "generously paid them". Teylora never denied the participation in the organization of escape of the former head of Nissan.

The Ghosn's son paid his escape in a box with cryptocurrency

Carlos Ghosn who by July 23, 2020 is in Lebanon, said that his family in no way did not participate in its moving from Japan. But prosecutors in the USA and Japan collected proofs that his son Antony and the daughter Maya are in a varying degree involved in escape of the father.
