Rakhat automated two distribution centers and a warehouse with the help of the solution Solvo.WMS

On December 14, 2018 the SOLVO company announced automation of two distribution centers and a warehouse of the producer of confectionery in Kazakhstan, Rakhat factories.

Preference was given in selection process of a system by the customer to Solvo.WMS. Important advantage was the fact that Solvo.WMS is Russian system that allowed to avoid additional difficulties at localization of a system and personnel training.

The main objectives which were set by a warehouse for integrator of the project:

• Inventory process simplification;
• Acceleration and increase in efficiency of personnel;
• Implementation of shipment by the principle of FIFO;
• Accurate tracking of the movement of loads on a warehouse;
• Placement of goods taking into account requirements of compatibility of commodity groups;
• Timely descent of products in a zone of selection (picking);
• Process optimization of a bypass of a warehouse at assembly of orders;
• Acceleration and control of loading in motor transport;
• Decrease in probability of regrading at assembly of orders.

"According to the results of the project we avoided long inventory when online we can proinventarizirovat at any time within an hour all products which at us exist in warehouses. The second – accounting of expiration dates, and the third – fast finding of products, its fast movement improved, at any time we can trace it and check an expiration date". Specialists of "SOLVO" could implement the main objectives set by Rakhat, relying on already available experience of similar projects. Servers, a system were configured, training of warehouse personnel is made.

Project Results:

• Process automation of acceptance, assembly and shipment using data collection terminals and scanners;
• Automation of acceptance of loads on ASN technology;
• Possibility of acceptance on a warehouse both complete, and incomplete a pallet;
• Implementation of different options of optimization of replenishment and selection
• Possibility of formation of rules of a bypass of cells by sorters, taking into account different rules and the strategy of optimization of selection (for example, Snake);
• Planning of shipment on FIFO taking into account a residual expiration date;
• Possibility of assembly of orders directly in the vehicle without intermediate field region of preparation of the order, etc.

Based on implementation of Solvo.WMS in the first two warehouses, the management of factory made the decision on system implementation and in other warehouse by production "Rakhat" in Almaty. The project was implemented on a cloud technology using the module "Remote Warehouses" allowing to save time and money of the customer. Thanks to this module, a system was implemented within 3 weeks, and transition of a warehouse to commercial operation to Solvo.WMS was made only per day.

At automation of the third warehouse the same main objectives, as in the two first warehouses were solved and also product acceptance from production was automated and accounting of movement between these warehouses (from a warehouse became simpler by production on warehouses of long storage).

For December, 2018 in plans of the companies – further implementation of layer of works and also testing of new technologies which will be able to increase efficiency of business processes of factory even more.
